My Mother

P_Mom

Mom
1922-1992

Charcoal portrait that I created of my mother, referenced from her 1940’s portrait.

She will always be missed.

Born 12/18/1922 to 10/10/1992

May She Rest in Peace

≈≈

Created with charcoal powder/dust and charcoal pencils.

I primarily used my cotton cloth technique as an application method.

A dear friend of mine, Binky,

recommended that I re-post this artwork

since I was new to the blogosphere at the time of the original posting on December 27, 2008…Thanks Binky

In this wonderful portrait of your mother I can see the truly delightful energy and immaculate detail that you have lovingly applied within, and it is a beautiful portrait my friend. One that I am sure is framed and has its own special place inside your home. Brilliant

  3. That’s a very nice portrait, Deb. I would imagine it would have been difficult to paint.

You posted this one so long ago, few of your present commenters have seen it, which is too bad. Maybe you could re-post some of your earlier works when you have a slow time.

Your mother was a very pretty woman and you’ve done her proud… 🙂

Thanks for the visit and comment! 🙂

The new keyboard was ordered yesterday from Microdirect and should arrive in the next few days! 🙂

We have similar weather problems here.

As I write it is snowing in Scotland and wet and cold here! 😦

The colour is fine hun – the pictures look good and everything is eminently readable – remember your text will remain its original colour, so your old blogs will be unreadable on a light background…

The couhing has eased and I feel great – a couple more days and I’ll be fit to go to church! 🙂

    Love and squishy hugs!

      -You’re welcome…it’s my pleasure.
-Glad to hear that your getting a new one!
-I know, back and forth all the time.
-I’ve managed to get the text to change with the lighter background without any troubles. The trouble is I can’t seem to make up my mind about the dark or light.
-I’m really glad to hear you’re getting better. I’m also sure you’ve been missed at church….keep getting well.
