Hey Debbie… I tried out painting yesterday, i dint have all the required supplies. followed a technique from a video, which asked me wash paint twice and layer. it was nice and not hard at all. you are my inspiration to want to start using watercolors. Thank you!
This is wonderful news. I know you can do it, and will enjoy every moment of it. Just let the water flow and have fun!
Thank you for such a lovely comment!
Hugs, xx
Love the watercolour paintings! I’ve tried using water colours on a normal art paper..and it doesn’t look nice at all and sometimes it’s like the paper sort of rubs off!! Are there “better” papers for water colours?

/ October 30, 2012I use 140 lb coldpressed watercolor paper.
The first time I tried watercolor I tried it on regular paper…it don’t work right.
Here is a link to an affordable one to get you started.
http://www.jerrysartarama.com/discount-art-supplies/paper/drawing-and-multimedia-paper-and-boards/canson/student-drawing-paper-pads/xl-drawing-pads.htm
I get the last one on the list then cut the paper to sizes I like so the paper will last me longer.
Also, I apologies for taking so long to reply to you. Hurricane Sandy has knocked out the internet since yesterday morning.
Have a great day, and have fun painting. 🙂
