Versatile Blogger Award

I was recently nominated for the Versatile Blogger award by my dear friend Andy. But, not only did he recently nominate me, he nominated me back on February 2, 2012. So needless to say, I am way behind and do ask you, Andy to forgive my laziness. I thank you for the award…twice, and accept wholeheartedly.  I am honored and humbled, and even hang my head a bit in shame for taking so long to create this post from the first nomination.

For those of you who do not know Andy I recommend you take the time to visit his blog. He is a fun loving person, that single parent of a little princess, and a very straight forward kind of guy. If you want to know what he thinks, he will tell you.  I enjoy all of his posts. he write and takes the most wonderful photos….a must see.

Now for the rules:

1) Nominate 15 fellow bloggers

2) Inform bloggers of their nomination

3) Share 7 random things about yourself

4) Thank the blogger who nominated you

5) Place versatile blogger award on your blog post

The Seven things about me…

1) I love peanut butter

2) I use to sing in a church choir as a child…I was an alto

3) I love crunch foods…chips, nuts, crisps, bacon….but most are a heart’s enemy

4) I share a cell phone with my husband…till better days arrive

5) I enjoy to preparing food for my neighbors

6) I hate to change my earrings

7) I hate liver…gross stuff!…and don’t try to tell me I’m wrong I will not agree with you.

Now for the nominees.

If I select 15 blogger for this award I will only go back and edit my post and put my whole blogroll in. My past history is my proof of this behavior. It is because I feel that everyone on my blogroll is as worthy of the award as the next. I refuse to leave people out and hurt them due to a few silly rules that comes with an award. It’s my blog, so it’s my rules once I accept the award. However, if you see your name on the list of nominees and choose to accept this award, which is not required of you, you do not have to put your whole blogroll in as I do.

So to the following people I am telling you all that I think you’re all great, and you do not have to accept this award, as I understand that some of you do not do this sort of thing…and that is okay with me. To those who do…congrats!

The Nominees are…

And the comics I nominate.

If you do not accept this award this is okay…Please to not feel obligated, as I know some on this list do not participate in these matters.

    • The rules sometime are ridicules when it comes to the nominees. I think that once the award is accepted that the person who received it make their own rules if any… which I do now. 🙂
Thanks Hanne and congrats to you too, you deserve this award!

  4. Congrats, Deb, and yes, this is well deserved, but don’t be so hard on yourself! I think most of us get behind and we all know and love you, so don’t fret! 🙂 Thanks also for the nomination and I am also behind on other awards. Your Commenter award was the first to follow through in the last week. So….now I hang my head in shame! 🙂 Anyway, congrats and I hope you’re having a lovely day! xo

          • His hands…both of them. After my father passed away in 1999 I found that I couldn’t remember what his hands looked like…and I hate that. I remember that they were large, but I can’t remember the details of them anymore. And when I think of how many times those hands reached out for me in my life…and now I don’t remember what they looked like. So take pictures of his hands…k

    • I am so pleased to hear this news,Soma! I can’t stand to single out my friends with these awards.
Want to know what it reminds me of when we are suppose to only pick out a certain amount to nominate?…I’ll tell you anyway since I know you would be interested.

Imagine that you have, let’s just say, 12 friends but you only have 6 greeting cards to send to your friends. So you pick the 6 that get them then you mail them off to them, but you call the other 6 that didn’t get a greeting card and say, “Hi, I had 6 greeting cards to send out for my friends, but didn’t send one of them to you because I didn’t have enough cards…gee sorry I did think more of you to make sure you got one.”….How lame is that to have even told them?….Well, when bloggers are subscribed to my blog and see what I post, it is the same thing. Like I’m telling them they weren’t good enough. So, I don’t do it anymore, because they are all worthy to begin with. If they don’t want the award…that is fine, but at least they know I thought of them.
I look at it this way…if they are on my blogroll, then I think a lot of them to begin with, or they would not be there.

You have a heart of gold, Soma! and I love you too!
      Hugs, xx

  19. Congratulations Deb..this is beautiful. Thankyou again for this nominie.

Lol… we both have the same singing voice..yes and also I sang in the choir growing up.
A gracious experience..with the sound of the organ playing.

Just recently I visited a church here in Holland with my sister..they had an open day you see.
Students played the organ…it brought back so many nice childhood memories.
