Commenter Award

I was recently award Commenter Award!  by Autumn Sunshine…thank you, Autumn! The Commenter’s Award is a little different from the most awards. Instead of awarding others for their own blogs, you will be giving recognition to those who comment on your own blog regularly, take the time to really read your posts, and provide you with feedback via their comments. The nominations are the easiest part. You should nominate the six bloggers who comment most frequently on your blog, which if found on your stat page on the bottom right if you are with WP

You may nominate one more person. This person can either be a brand new commenter on your blog, the very last comment you have received (most recent), or the one who has posted your most favorite comments. This seventh nomination is your choice, but please do tell us why you have chosen them as your seventh.

Prenin
Binky
Lauren
Andro
Tracy
Soma

My seventh is…

Bearman Cartoons because he always makes me smile.

7 x 7 Award

My dear a close friend Novroz who’s blog is Polychrome Interest has nominated me for the 7 x 7 Award! Thank you, Novroz, I accept and am honored. Thank you for thinking of me. Her blog is about Books, Movies, Turtles, Diary and more. If you would take the time to visit…and I recommend that you do as to not cheat yourself out of so many interests and a remarkable friend, you are sure to not be disappointed.

The rules

1.)Tell something about about self that no one knows: Something that no one knows…hmmm I’m thinking. Well, I doubt that anyone has really ever paid attention so I will tell you that I drink about 10-12 glasses of water a day. Not because I’m thirsty, but it does wonders to keep my figure….great for all the body organs.
2.)Link to my posts to the following categories.

  • Most beautiful piece: Based on my own thoughts of this piece and the comments I received I would have to say Drifting is my most beautiful.
  • Most helpful piece:  I would have to choose Charcoal Drawing With the Cotton Cloth Technique
  • Most popular piece: Once again, based on the comment I clearly see Binky’s Beach House is Open for Spring and Summer was the most popular piece.
  • Most Controversial piece: That one is easy…Happy Easter is the most controversial since we all do not share the same beliefs. But that was more about the topic rather than of the painting. the painting in the post is called the “Empty Tomb.”
  • Most surprisingly successful piece: It was a toss up for me between Foggy Bottom and Red Dawn.
  • Most pride worthy piece: That’s easy too…My mother Not because I think I should, but because she looks just as she does in the photo I referenced her from.

The Nominees: I am suppose to pass this on to 7 blogger, but this is where I draw the line with  this rule. I believe everyone on my blogroll is worthy of this award as much as the next. So I will not single anyone out…. So I am nominating my entire blogroll! Congrats to you all!

None of you have to feel obligated to accept this award since I know that some of you would rather not get into this sort of thing, nor does any one who does accept this award need to feel pressured to rush or creating a post, or to create a post at all, though passing your gift to someone else is a very kind gesture.

Acceptance of Several Awards

On February 26, 2012 an excellent poet and my dear friend, Lauren had nominated me for the Reader’s Appreciation Award….thank you, Lauren, I am honored, and graciously accept. And now feel I may place this lovely award on my blog. You have been more than patient with me to prepare and publish a post.

For those of you who may not know Lauren would be cheating yourself for not taking the time to visit her blog. She is kind, loving and witty. Her poetry is heart-felt, of love, passion, compassion, and day to day life.

I will explain this award exactly as Lauren had read it to be when she read about it

As she wrote, awards are like gifts–they are meant to be a blessing.  Therefore, the “rules” are not legally binding–which means, if you’re not happy to be nominated, please have some mercy and grace for me.  (Caddo didn’t do compliance checks and neither will I!)  “List six nominations.  Link the Award Image back to the one who presented it to you.” But if you can’t manage it, please do not fuss and fret.

I will list the nominees at the bottom of this post.

On March 5, 2012 a most wonderful writer…a song writer and friend George W Mahn, III had nominated me with Mrs. Sparkly’s Ten Commandment Award.

The “Mrs. Sparkly’s Ten Commandments Award” has to do with a woman of the same name, known for being very elegant and having high expectations, and who is committed to maintaining integrity, good manners and behavior, as well as a rich sense of humor. Thank you, George, for considering me for this high honored award!  Now, I must answer 10 Questions “honestly” about myself, as part of my acceptance (rules) of this award.

1. Describe yourself in seven words.

Me…as God intended me to be.

4. What are you wearing now?

White tank top, blue jean overall, and slipper

5. What scares you?

My checkbook every time I look at it.

6. What are the best and worst things about blogging?

The best is the meeting and making new friends. The worst is the lack of time to visit all my friends when I want to.

7. What was the last website you looked at?

Wombania

8. If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?

You’ve heard it before and you’re going to hear is again….my love for ice cream

9. Slankets, yes or no?

No…I use a blanket

10. Tell us something about the person who tagged you.

George is a love heart.  This can easily be seen in the lyrics to his music, the way he speaks to me in comments and replies, and the way he speaks to others. He is health conscious, cares and respects his fellow man, writes a song that will be felt deep in your heart.  He make warms my heart with his gentle nature.

Now this next award, the Kreativ Blogger Award came to me as a surprise because I was nominated by Tania Smith whom I met through her nominating me. Tania…please forgive my tardiness in getting this posted prepared and posted…. I am truelyhonored and very humbled that you would think of me for such an honorable award…thank you, Tania!

My last and most recent award I was nominated for is the Creative Chaos Award from George W Mahn, III.  His blog is Vertical Leap. George is also the one who nominated me for the above award, Mrs. Sparkly’s Ten Commandment Award. George, I am truly honored and bless that you thought of me when you passed on this award…thank you!

For those of you who do not know George, I high recommend you visit his blog. He is a wonderful song writer with lyric that are so heart-felt that you would think he wrote it for you….So don’t cheat yourself…give him a visit

The Rules

Firstly: Thank the person who gave you the Award.

Secondly: Take your best shot at the 3 tasks listed below.

Thirdly: Nominate 5 people who recently followed your blog.

First Task: Three weird things I  do:

  1. Sometimes I add peanut butter to my ice cream.
  2. I sleep with one foot uncovered most of the time
  3. I’ll get a teaspoon of chocolate syrup if I want chocolate and don’t have any.

Second Task: You must tell why you look at the “glass half full” scenario and ask “what? No coffee?”

Once I put sweeten in my coffee it is my husband that say’s “What no coffee with that.

Third Task: You find yourself in a desolate place when your car breaks down. You have no cellphone service, no Walmart, and only a candy bar for food. It is 150 miles to the closest town. What color are your under pants and why?

I’d be grateful for the candy bar…eat it while I waited for my husband to come look for me based on where I told him I was going…as I always do (including my routes.) My pants are? Well, I wouldn’t know unless I looked, and it would be the furthest thing on my mind.
