    • Thanks Honey! This is the one I did when you went fishing yesterday.
Well just have to see what’s left for color when we get back…Might be all brown.
      Thanks for commenting!

  1. Very nice fall colors! It reminds me of fall!
I’m a lot further north than you, and despite all the rain we’ve had lately, I’d say most of the leaves are still on the trees. So you still should be able to have a nice autumn when you get home.

    • Really Binky, you still have colors? That’s great news. I’m looking forward now to being able to see the reds, and yellows…I’ll let you know if there was still color after I get there.
      Thanks for commenting, Binky!

What are you doing for the 31st Halloween
or maybe you dont do Halloween
I think its really interesting who does and what part of the world peeps are in
    I live in Australia

    • You are very welcome…Just a little something I enjoyed on photobucket and thought you might like it too.
On Halloween I will be right here… no plans this year.
I’m in the USA and Halloween is a big one, though not as big as it use to be for children….safety reasons. But many of all ages still have their Halloween parties.
Thanks for stopping in to comment, Noelle!

  3. Wow, you’ve certainly captured the look and feel of Autumn
with this painting Deb, it’s gorgeous!

    Debbie..thank you for the present,
it’s really lovely! I’m going to save it to my pc
    and keep it forever.

p.s. atm = at the moment.
Have a lovely weekend Deb x

    • Aw, your welcome, Gary. But please understand that I didn’t make that present. I found it on photobucket…but it’s the thought that counts… Right?

I’m glad you like the painting, Gary! Thank you for such a lovely comment!

  4. Great painting! Love the kind of an outlining technique. It reminds me of a faraway world that probably has squirrel people and talking stones. Also it seems like fire above meets earth meets the water below. Nice.

    • I don’t quite know where I get the urge to do that with the ink when I’m done with a painting, but I do from time to time. I’m glad you like it, Curtis, and thank you for commenting!
      Deb xx

    • I love Autumn colors too, and can only hope there is a bit left for me to see when I get home.
Thank you for such a wonderful comment, Sabina!
You have a wonderful weekend too!

  5. Wow really great painting! I don’t think I could ever dislike one of your paintings. I just love them all. They’re all different and unique and beautiful. 🙂 Bravo, Deb!! Have a lovely day!

  6. You’ve caught the sheer magic of Autumn Deb, Mother Natures change from green to Burnt Orange and Sienna, and I love to hear the rustling of leaves, although not so much when you’re the one clearing them up… 🙂 … happy day my friend. Hugs to you.. xPenx

    • Thanks Pen. And I’m just like you…Not much of a nice sound anymore when it’s clean-up time.
I’m glad you like the painting, Pen, and thank you for commenting!
      Hugs my friend,

  7. The leaves are turning beautiful here in Southern Indiana, some of the most beautiful fall foliage in the world. Going to a bed and breakfast this weekend maybe I’ll post some pics Monday.
Serial Killer… Really, I must have really made a bad impression on my last comment!

    • I would love to see some pics, so please, do send some to me.

Oh, come on now, I actually said that because you were trying to look mean…You did a good job too. It was no offense. And I know your pulling my leg too. hehe

  8. Lovely Autumn colours in this one. It’s Springtime here The days are warming up nicely. I have planted most of my veggie seedlings & we don’t need the fire going at night now. Ya gotta love it!!! brag brag…
BTW Hope you enjoy your winter

    • Just rub it in, Tony, just rub it in!
Have a nice winter! Surely you jest! I don’t want winter, winter means snow, and snow means shoveling, and shoveling mean I’ll get cold, And getting cold means turn up the heat, And turn up the heat means Higher heating bills, and…..Does it ever end?
Thanks for the comment on my painting, Tony!

  9. The past few days when I look out of the window or take a drive this is what I am seeing. Your painting is a real “love song” to Autumn, capturing the color, spirit and light. Don’t worry, you may still see the lovely colors still in the trees when you get home…with maybe a week or two before raking needs doing 🙂

    • Hi Nanina, thank you for the visit, and the lovely comment….You have brought me fresh inspiration and energy with your kind words.
I’ve been hearing that about the leaves. It’ will be nice to enjoy the beauty of them before clean-up time.
Thank you again for the visit and comment, Nanina!

  10. This one is really great Deb, you have a knack at painting all the best paintings around here and this one is certainly amongst your finest 🙂 I do hope that you are enjoying a very wicked Halloween Weekend so far, and that later you will be having some… Well, having some… Having whatever you like the most I guess? 🙂 😉 Just be good, or else? 🙂 lol

    Androgoth XXx

    • Wow! Thanks Andro, what a nice thing to say about my painting! You have made my day!
I’ll be having a nap later is what I’ll be doing…:-)
      Good?…I’ll try to be.

  11. Lovely fall color painting… Here in California fall is not as concentrated as mid-west areas, wanted to visit one of the fall foliage locations this yr but couldn’t 😦

  13. Simply gorgeous. You have an amazing skill! I grew up drawing but I only ventured into paint on a few occasions–enough to know what it takes to produce good work, but not enough to do good work 😛 you make me want to start an art blog. I envy your prolificacy! I adore watercolor. And it is so fitting for the subject

    • Oh You! You speak with such grace that I think my painting looks even better than I originally thought! You certainly have a skill for words. I would love for you to start and art blog. I’m sure you can paint very well, just got to give it a chance. I’m no where’s near the artist I want to be. But i suppose the only way I have a chance to be is to keep on practicing.

Thank you so much for you kind words.

  14. It always amazes me to see all the rich gorgeous colors of autumn, I dont’ like the cold weather that comes with it but I love the colors of the leaves and the fresh crispness of the air. Your painting is beautiful Deb, and I hope you get home in time to see the colors of autumn.
Thank you for your new gift, you’re so sweet Deb! and you have painted him absolutely perfectly.

And now a gift for you…

Thanks for being a part of my first ever guestbook event!
It’s been so much fun thanks to all of you, my wonderful friends.
Here is a little participation award to thank you for completing the Halloween event.
I appreciate so much all that each of you has done, it made this event very special!
    Hugs and kisses, Nikki

    • But the cold must come…Hmmm, I don’t know what it is, but to me, it seems like the cold weather lasts longer than the warmer weather. I do hope to see some fall colors when I get back…going in just a few more days.
Thank you so much for the gift Nikki!…I love it!
From what I can tell, everyone on your list has lived up to visiting each other. You will have to do this again next year, and maybe even for other up-coming holidays.
      Love and Hugs,
      Deb xx

  15. beautiful Debbie! the fall colors are so wonderful yet it means colder days to come… one can only enjoy the golden treasures while they last…

    • Hi Val, good to see you, thank you for coming in and commenting!
I hope all is well on your end of things. Happy Halloween!
I’ve been doing some reading in your space….Your, “How To” pages. You have an enormous amount of information on your space, Val

  16. whua…the leaves are on fire!! It looks gorgeous.

It is a season I will never have in my country. We only have dry season and wet season.
Btw, I don’t know if you are interested or not, I have plenty of photos that shows the beauty of a certain area in Indonesia in my blog. Maybe it can be something you paint 😉

    • I’m longing for it myself, Though I’m not looking forward to snow, but I got take the good with the bad now, right?
Thank you for the lovely comment about my painting, George!

  17. Hi Deb,
How long have you been away from home on vacation? it seems like a long time, now being back at home might feel like the vacation away lol. I hope you have a safe and good journey then sweet Deb, and hopefully you won’t be gone from us here for too long. Big hugs, Nikki

    • First off I won’t be gone from all of you. I just take my laptop with me.
We have been out here on the Island since last April. We will go home and come back again in April, but maybe even March. So home will most likely feel like a vacation. I have a house sitter to take care of things there when we are here.
Anyway, we have much to do when we get back there and shop for, for here (shopping is no good on this Island).
I may not be online as much over the next week until our transition is over. I’ll have a lot of stuff to put away when we get home and I’m sure I’ll want to do housework the house-sitter didn’t do.
But after that you will see me online as always (all the time, hehe)

Thank you for wishing us a safe trip, Nikki!

      Love and Hugs,
      Deb xx

  18. This tree absolutely glows, Debbie! Hopefully you will get a glimpse of some fall color when you arrive home. Fall, here, is dragging itself out. My maple that turns yellow is still glowing in my backyard. I like the touches of green in this as well as the blues, below. It really POPS that orange!

    • The Autumn here is about dried up. We have brown, rust and yellow. My maples trees have no more beautiful yellow…It’s all gone. I guess this is the price I’ll have to pay to stay away so long…That and a lot of house work…lol. I took a few minutes out to try and reply to some of these comments. Still have much to do.
Thank you so much for the lovey comment about my painting, Leslie!
      Deb xx

    • Hi Jen, sorry it took so long for me to respond…Been in the process of getting home and cleaning up.
What’s wrong? Why do you need cheering up sweetie? When I get home tonight I will swing on over to your blog to see what’s new.

      Love and Hugs,
      Deb xx

    • Just as soon as I get settled and rested from our move transition I will see what I can come up with. I know that I do want to practice on my trees more, so you may see some.

Thank you for the comment, Tim!

      Deb xx

  19. You’ve really captured that wonderful autumnal feeling in this one, Ms. A!
Spectacular! The only thing I don’t like about fall is how short (and how close to winter) it is!

    • I don’t even want to think about winter and it’s just about here. I can’t even believe that Christmas is only 7 weeks away too. Aak! So much to do, so little time.
Thank you for all the comments you left for me, Bob!

      Deb xx

  20. Your tree with the beautiful colors is just great!! I love it – very striking and beautiful work. Well done, Debbie.
    Enjoy the weekend.

  21. I was referring to the poem above left Debbie
Sorry |I thought you had written it yourself 🙂

Yes it did not work the invite sending but I saw you sent me one anyway.
    Hugs Traceyxx

    • Oh yes! I’m so sorry. I thought you meant a poem in this post…my bad.
Yes, I did write the poem in the side panel. Thank you so much!

      Yes, I applied directly.

      Big Hugs,
      Deb xx

  22. Sorry I think my head was on back to front there..lol 🙂

Beautifully written, and very solid with compassion this poem Debbie.. (still talking about the same poem now..above right)

    Good week to you,

    • No, no…my bad.
You are so sweet. and yes, we are both talking about the same poem now. Thank you so much for the compliment on it too. I like to write poems from time to time.
You have a wonderful day for what is left of it, and a great week a head of you.
I’ll see you at your blog soon…That is if I can get in.

      Hugs my friend,
      Deb xx

  23. Hi Debbie, Lovely autumn tree. The trees here aren’t that great this year…at least so far. I’m hoping for some bright colors before all the leaves fall off. At least now I have your painting to look at when I want some fall color.

    • Our leaves here are most brown and burnt sienna right now…Not much yellow to speak of.
I’m really glad you like the painting, and you are most welcome to come on in to have a peek anytime.
Good to see you, Carol, and thank you for commenting!
      Deb xx

  24. Nice painting.
I really enjoy the Autumn with its colors … sweet melancholy.
Have a magical weekend Debbie with friendship.
