We made it home without much trouble last Thursday. However, our windshield took a rock ding that we now have to get repaired before the windshield cracks.
On our way home passing through some mountain areas there were a few spots along the way that seemed to stay in my mind for the somewhat, of a spring look, rather than fall. I guess mainly because I still seen some trees that should have already turned colors and they were not evergreens. Not to say the scenes did not have some fall color, just not much. I couldn’t tell you precisely where on our way home, outside of just somewhere between Cape Hatteras Island and Virginia.
I’ve had a lot of work to do since I arrived home, with more to do yet, but had to give myself a break and do something relaxing. These are the two scenes as I recall them that I painted with watercolors on 140 lb. coldpress watercolor paper.
