Simple painting of a woman and child enjoying a kite flying day at the beach.
It’s been too chilly to go swimming and usually is till May, and even then the water is still chilly till it get mid to later June. But one can always take a walk or one a windy day…fly a kite.

/ March 29, 2012I love it Debbie, and inspired me to buy a kite after work to entertain my little one with this weekend 🙂

/ March 29, 2012I love it! I reminds me of times at the ocean when Kris was wee:) the ocean is the best way to keep a kid entertained. So peaceful.
Deb
/ March 29, 2012I’m glad to hear my painting brought back a nice memory for you!

/ March 29, 2012Sometimes those walks along the beach can be among the most fun days…
and the most inspiring, too! This wonderful piece is more proof of that, Deb! Very, very nicely done!
🙂
Deb
/ March 29, 2012I enjoy walking along the beach. Sometimes I find little treasures that the sea leaves behind. We get our share of windy days out here that are not so good for fishing according to Mitch…gets too much sea-weed on the line. So we enjoy watching the children fly kites while we take our walks.
Thanks Bob!

Beautiful painting! The sky looks so real (again)!! Ahhh I want to go there and play with them.
With our Wombat Team of course.
And the dogs.
lol
Deb

/ March 29, 2012You have captured every child’s resentment although you probably did not plan it. See, it is adult who holds the string and actually flies the kite not the child. It was that way with my father. Let’s fly a kite meant me watching him fly a kite.
Deb
/ March 29, 2012In the picture the little girl is learning to fly a kite
But I do understand what you are saying, Carl
Thank You!

Deb
/ March 29, 2012You do? That’s wonderful. One should always be able to see figures of something in the sky!
I’m going to study myself now to see what I can find.
Thanks bearman!

/ March 29, 2012Looks a little storm out there. Hopefully the kite is not big enough to take the flier off into the heavans!
Deb

/ March 30, 2012Hey I remember as a child I would often go kite flying
and what fun it was too my great friend, one never sees
children making kites these days or even flying toys
aeroplanes, I guess the 21st Century is all about the
techno world of enjoyment 🙂
Have a lovely day at the beach Deb
and I hope that it is a lot warmer for you 🙂
Androgoth XXx
Deb
/ March 30, 2012I never see children make kites anymore either, and around here they just buy them at the local shops…they all have them.
Yes, techo is the thing these days.
I’m glad I brought to your mind a memories of kite flying, Andro!
Thank you, Andro, you have a wonderful night now!

Deb
/ March 31, 2012There wasn’t a comment here from you, Soma….that I could find anyway. I even looked in the trash in case I goofed some how…nothing there. Are you thinking of the comment with a trophy for Cassie and Cici and Friend Award for me? If so…that one it on the Cassie and Cici post.
Thank you for such a nice comment about this painting, Soma!

/ March 31, 2012What a gorgeous painting Deb..it truely is lovely setting.
I would love to fly a kite again..haven’t done so in years..would be fun 🙂
I am sure weather will warm up soon so you can go swimming.. you really like to swim then?
How about diving too?
Hugs Traceyxx
Deb
/ March 31, 2012I love to swim, but once I begin to think about what’s lurking in the water around me I get out of the water….lol
No, I’ve never done any diving outside of the standard type dive into a swimming pool.
It’ll warm up soon enough.
Thank you, for the visit, my sweet friend. I’ve missed you.
Love and Hugs, xx
Oceanwaves
/ March 31, 2012what could be lurking in the water.. sharks? omg.. I wouldn’t be in the water the water then lol.. chicken me’hugs Traceyxx
Deb
/ March 31, 2012Yes sharks, not usually but they do come sometimes. Last summer a 5 year old little girl was attacked by one…scary stuff. Now you know why I get out of the water so quick…almost as fast as I get into it. Lol.

/ March 31, 2012Im glad I enlarged the picture Deb as you get so see so much more detail, what medium did you use on this? or is it a digital ?
Deb
/ March 31, 2012This one is digitally painted, using acrylic brushes.
Thanks Sue!
Hugs, xx
Sue Dreamwalker
/ March 31, 2012🙂 Im way behind the digital scene and until your posts Deb I had never seen only the primitive kind on the pc which is basic airbrushing etc… Some of your creations are stunning to say the least.. So thank you.. xxx
Deb
/ March 31, 2012Before I started doing these I never used anything but the paint program that comes with a pc…and it’s not that good…to me anyway.
Thank you, Sue…that was a very thoughtful thing to tell me.

Papoe
/ April 2, 2012Lovely painting Aunty Deb 🙂
I bet I am light enough to ride that kite.
Deb
/ April 2, 2012Hi my little Papoe!
Yes, you are light enough to ride that kite, but I would never let you up one….you could fall off. Or the string could break and the kite would fly away. Or the wind could shift or stop blowing and the kite would crash. Nope, no kite riding for little Papoe….Aunty Deb loves you too much!
Love and Hugs little sweetie! xx
Papoe
/ April 2, 2012But…but…it looks fun and adventurous!! I am an adventurous boy 🙂
Deb
/ April 2, 2012I’m sorry Papoe. You are not allow to fly on the kite. You can help fly it, but not ride on it. Ask your mommy if she would let you ride on one of here kites….bet she says, “no honey.”
Love and Hugs, xx
Novroz
/ April 2, 2012Yup!!! MOST definitely NOT allowed. Thank you for talking sense to him Deb ((hug))
