  1. Yayyy!!! I’m First to Comment!!! LOL!!!

Sorry for not commenting earlier – I overslept because I didn’t use the nasal spray to clear my nose and had a broken night’s sleep as a result…

Love and squishy hugs my friend!

    • Yes, you are…And you deserve the rights too.
I had a feeling something was a bit different with you…I thought you may have been ill. Not getting enough sleep is about the same thing as being sick, since it plays such havoc on our whole being….Don’t forget to use it for your next sleep.
Glad you made it in here…Hope this page open faster than the previous guestbook…It got rather full.

Love and squishy hugs, my friend!
      Deb xx

        • I don’t know about you, but mine what taking to long to open. Even when I replied within the editor it would take a while for the reply to post. Take care of yours before it gets that way.
Glad you are back…Missed you, my friend.
          Love and Hugs,
          Deb xx

  2. Hi hun! πŸ™‚

Yes the spray is useful, but not for long-term use I’m afraid… 😦

Yes money does tend to rule us doesn’t it? 😦

On the bright side I had plenty of margin so the rent hike didn’t catch me unawares – but it would have been nice to have been TOLD there was a rent rise coming…

Hope the painting went well! πŸ™‚

Thanks hun – that hug felt good! πŸ™‚

I was printing today’s mail when the printer ran out of ink.

I have a spare cartridge, but it failed to work – a quick examination showed it had been sabotaged!

I’ve ordered a new cartridge, but it’ll be 3 to 5 working days before it shows up.

Oh well: It can wait until next fortnight… πŸ™‚

    Love and hugs!

    • I guess you can only use it off and on then
Money, money…A very useful tool if we can get our hands on it.

Still painting…I’m working on it. I’ve got a few others done already, but don’t want to post them all at once…That would be mean for my loyal readers to have to make so many comments.

Out of ink, eh…Hate the short warning it gives us…Like none. I guess if you want to print all your mail you will just have to hang tight till the ink arrives. Don’t run out of paper.

Yeah, they landlord could have at least told you guys last month that it was going to go up a few bucks the following month…What’ with people?

I’m glad I sent you that hug when I did…Sounds like you needed just when you got it. πŸ™‚

We’re thinking about getting a pizza for dinner tonight…Sound good to me.

      Love and Hugs, Deb xx

  3. I used the Nasal spray last night and slept very well, even getting up before 9am! πŸ™‚

I now have to go shopping and put money in the Bank later, but I’m leaving it until lunch time to make sure I won’t have problems with needing the loo…

Sounds like you have found your inner muse! πŸ™‚

Hope the pictures come out well…

What annoys me is that I bought another cartridge, but when I came to use it I found it had been sabotaged! 😦

I always have a spare pack of paper – It’s cheap and easy to pick up one from Wilkinsons – but I won’t use the stuff on offer at the Post Office because it’s full of paper dust…

From the look of it the rent went up in the last Quarter, but I’m Β£176 ahead so it didn’t cause me any problems! πŸ™‚

    Yeah I needed a hug! πŸ™‚

Pizza is good, unless you have to live on them – in which case you become a blubber butt like me! πŸ™‚

    Love and hugs my friend!

    • Glad you got a good night sleep…Not enough sleep is bad for our thoughts.

It’s all that tea you drink in the morning. :-)…Kidding.

I think you may be right. I seem to do a little better with them.

What picture?….Oh, you mean the painting.

Who do you think hurt it?…..Never mind, I know who.

We get our printer paper at Walmart…Do you have Walmart’s out there?

Thank goodness you were a head some money.

Sometimes something inside me tells me to send one…I don’t know why, and don’t questions it. I figure He know why.:-)

We don’t have pizza very often…Must be why it always sounds good when we do.

      Lot’s of email today?

      Love and hugs my friend!
      Deb xx

  4. Hi hun! πŸ™‚

I decided to go shopping a bit earlier than planned – I was a bag of nerves, but OK once I got out of the flat.

I ran into Doug – he’s got his hooks into our new neighbour Tony – and he asked if Tony could use my phone to contact repairs as he has a leak under his sink!

I did the honours and then took a ride into Middleton to do my shopping.

I spent more than I planned, but still saved money – crazy huh? πŸ™‚

The cartridge was available to ‘a certain unnamed person’, but I have no proof…

We have a number of big stores including a new ‘Tescos’ which now dominates the town centre, but I haven’t been in yet.

These giant stores are taking over the country…

Yeah: I’ve not been able to get to church for a few weeks, so I’m low on my hug quota! πŸ™‚

I love ordering take-out, but it’s bloody expensive and these days they cut back on everything, so it’s not worth the money…

I had 126 emails this morning, down from the 200+ I was getting because Sarah got freshly pressed, so I just did them in two sittings…

Love and huge hugs my friend! πŸ™‚

    • At least you got your shopping done and over with…With a little savings to top is like a cherry.

Theses big store are taking over…We have plenty of them here too.

Here is some 3 hugs for you now, to help bring up the quota. πŸ™‚

We rarely get take out, and never go to restaurants at all….Well, maybe once a year, but it’s a buffet with a set price.

It would take me a week to handle the email you get in a day…So I would get very behind.

Love and Hugs,…ah, that another one! πŸ™‚
      Deb xx

  5. Hi Deb, I haven’t replied, yet, to my poem comments, so thank you for your kind words, always…and to update you, we found out today that her time is limited and it’s just a matter of days…very tough and sad, but we’re praying for peace and comfort for her and my Dad, which matters most at this month would be their 67th wedding anniversary…thanks for your prayers and I’ll keep you posted~ Hugs to you tonight!

    • Hi Lauren,
Thank you for the update…I will be praying for her comfort, and peace as well as for your dad, you and your other caring family members. The more people God hears from, the more pleased he is. And when two or more are in agreement in prayer…He is there. She will go peacefully, Lauren, I believe this whole hardheartedly. God loves her, and you. And so do I. I will give God my thanks continually.
      Love and Hugs, xx

  6. Hi Debs! πŸ™‚

I’m feeling fine hun now that the shopping is out of the way for a couple more weeks! πŸ™‚

Got the new cartridge and the printing is done, but I can’t post them until next fortnight because all the local Post Offices have been closed leaving only the Central Post Orifice open.

Thanks for the bunny hug sweetheart – really cute! πŸ™‚

    God Bless and Be Well!

    • I knew you’d feel better once home. I know going out is not your favorite thing to do, and can bring your body discomfort in more ways than one.
Glad you got your ink, and to hear you got your printing all caught up too.

You’re welcome…If you ever need a hug before I think of giving you one, just tell me.
      God bless you too!
      Hugs, Deb xx

  7. HI Debs! πŸ™‚

I have two long-term pen friends: Gina in California near Twenty Nine Palms and a Russian pen friend from Moscow who is trying to get online.

Both get a letter every fortnight about my life and doings, Gina who is my friend and Katherine because she needs to practice her English.

Thanks hun – the beer will last a while as I am not a heavy drinker any more, but I have a cold one stood on the table next to me! πŸ˜›

Sorry Cici is unwell again, I hope she gets better really soon!

    Love and hugs sweety! πŸ™‚

    • I remember you telling me of those two friends before…Nice that you still right them regularly.
      Enjoy that cold one!…lol

I’m sorry she is sick again too. It’s taking a while for her to get over her illness to begin with and gets set backs. Unfortunately it puts her in the hospital.

      Love and hugs,
      Deb xx

  8. Hi Deb,
You have a beautiful blog! I was just browsing through your artwork. As well as enjoying the beautiful pictures, I love that it gives me a glimpse at a place so different from where I live in Australia.

    Thanks for sharing it.

    • Hi Corisel nice of you to drop in here…Great place to talk about anything. Thank you for taking the time to browse my artwork. Feel free to leave comments on them if you wish. I love the feedback. I’ll see you soon back at your place.
      Hugs, xx

    • I don’t know if it would be handled like an award, but how else would one know if they were tagged…Right? I’ll play…I’ll get right on it now while I got some quiet time to myself…Never know when that goes away…lol. Thanks, Lauren.
      Big Hugs, xx

  9. Hi hun! πŸ™‚

Thanks for the visit and comment! πŸ™‚

I missed a dose of meds so as to wake early – and despite a sleeping pill I was awake until 3am!

    Go figure huh?

Anyway I woke to the alarms after four hours sleep feeling shattered, but couldn’t go back to sleep so I’m all bright eyed and bushy tailed! πŸ™‚

I need to go to the shop later, so I’m waiting for 1pm when all the kids will be in school…

    Love and hugs!

    • Hi Prenin,
I’m still catching up on old emails…Don’t know how you do it. I get a disruption in my life and it gets me way behind…I’ll get there though.

How’d you miss a dose of you meds, did you just forget, or were you out?

Yes, best to stay away from those kids in your neighborhood…There reputation is not so good.

I’ll get to your blog later, so don’t feel ignored by me…Life is just a little discombobulated right now with running to the vet once a day…Which we have not done yet.

      Love and Hugs,
      Deb xx

  10. Hi Debs!!! πŸ™‚

Thanks for the visit and comment! πŸ™‚

I’m an ex-programmer so i have good keyboard skills (I can touch-type) and I’m a speed reader, both of which is a big help when it comes to the Internet in all its manifestations! πŸ™‚

I took my pill at 5pm and will take a sleeping pill at 10pm so i should be in bed by 11pm.

All I need to do is reach my target weight of 98Kilos and become a healthier, happier, me!!! πŸ™‚

The good news is that I can now walk to the shop and back without pain, but still ache when sitting, or lying on either side…

Next job – learning to jog again…

love to you both and little Cici!!! πŸ™‚

    • That’s right, I forgot about you being a computer programmer in the past…How handy. So I think I just click forward to you on all my email and let you reply…They’d be done in a snap…Lol If only I could though, I would.

I sure hope you get your sleep back to your norm.
You are doing really good at getting the weight off, Prenin. I’m so proud of you, my friend.
Before you can learn to run (jog) you must learn to walk faster first…Just to be safe…Remember Hon, you have heart issues.

We love you too! and I know Cici does. She knows you make me smile!
      Love and Hugs,
      Deb xx

  11. Hi Debbie .. Have a bit much work right now and do not have time to respond as often .. Hope it gets better next month .. Have a wonderful day hug Nicki

    • I know life can be very busy at times. You just do what you have to do…Blogging is secondary to life itself.
      Have a great day!
      Hugs, xx

  12. Ahhh another Guestbook how wonderfully wicked πŸ™‚ πŸ˜‰
Thank you for all of your fine visits to my Space Deb and
do have a wonderful rest of evening, followed by lovely
moments in your Wednesday of Sweet Delights πŸ™‚

    Androgoth XXx

    • Yes, I think the 1st guestbook was running rather slow for being so full. Full of comments I would have never had if not for your fine suggestion of getting a guestbook….And for this, I thank you, Andro!…It is truly fun, and handy to have it.
You are most welcome for the comments, Andro. I had decided it was time for me to, let my hair down, so to speak and give you some comments that you could actually enjoy!…I hope you have been, my friend.
      Wednesday already!…Where the time goes.
I shall see you at your space later this evening my friend. Till then, have a wicked evening!
      Hugs, xx

    • I missed this one till just now. Well, at least I noticed on a weekend. just not the right one.
You have a most beautiful weekend, Nikki!
      Love and Hugs, xx

  13. Hi hun! πŸ™‚

Yep: Monday had its moments! πŸ™‚

I’m keeping Doug at arms length for now – believe me if it’s one thing I’ve learned it’s that Doug is a loser and scum who tried to take over my life for his own benefit.

    Glad you’re out there hun – I need a guardian angel!!! πŸ™‚

    Love and hugs!

    • I’m always here for you, Prenin…Just got to let me know if you are in need of a little more TLC

      Down with Doug…Boooooo, Booooooo, Booooooo!….lol
Thanks for coming in to see me, my friend.
      Love and Hugs, Deb xx

    • I know, Hon, but you’d better better not to go near or touch him with a ten foot pole. He’s too sneaky and that kind of behavior is exhausting for you….for anybody!

I’m always here Hon, you need me, you just let me know.
      Love and Hugs, Deb xx

  14. Hi Debs! πŸ™‚

Just caught your second comment! πŸ™‚

Yeah it’s going to be a hard frost tonight – it is already below 0’C – so I’m glad they fitted double glazing!!! πŸ™‚

Thanks for the support – I have so few people around me I can trust it’s a relief to talk to somebody that cares…

Doug is now getting his claws into Tony and Martin, so I’m glad I got rid of him! πŸ™‚

    Love and hugs!

    • No surprise to me that he is trying to claw someone else….That what Alcoholics do….Just don’t let it ever be you again. Just remember this Prenin. You can forgive someone for what they have done or said to you, but that does not mean you have to get back in the ring with them to take another beating.

I’m here for anytime, Prenin. Just wish our clocks were ticking on the same hours….It would sure help, huh.
We do the best with what God gave us though and you and I do pretty good.

Love and Hugs, my dear friend.
      Deb xx

    • 8:12pm here, so it won’t be long till I’m off to bed myself.
You have a good night’s sleep tonight, my friend.
We’ll talk tomorrow….After Cici’s shot at the Vet.
      Love and Hugs,
      Deb xx

    • No, it ran out of speed…It was taking forever to open the thing and for my to make my replies on.
Run out of chocolate!….Never! There is always chocolate here, esp in the Beach house.
      Hugs, xx

  15. Hi Debs! πŸ™‚

The medication issue is still a problem because they are using the Pharmacy to train new staff, so time and again they have changed the system.

Currently they are providing prescriptions one week early, so I still have six days supply, but the worry is still there – pay peanuts and you get monkeys!!! 😦

I have a few emails to read, then I’ll give them a call.

Needless to say I’m nervous!!! πŸ™‚

    Love and hugs!

    • I’m am finding all these comment you made to me just now…I feel like a heel, hanging my head in shame.
Well there’s now point is replying about all this now…I know you got is squared away.
But just the same, I don’t like you to get nervous.

      Love and Hugs,
      Deb xx

  16. Just phoned the pharmacy and my meds are ready for collection! πŸ™‚

Hopefully I’ll do some shopping on the way back – I’m almost out of bread and milk…

    Love and hugs!

    • They’re really beginning to sound like a zoo over there…Let me know how it goes after you call them.
      Love and Hugs,
      Debs xx

    • Yay! So glad that worked out well. It’s a shame you have to go through this sort of thing with them each month.
Let me know when you get home and you have them in your hot little hand…Then we can both be more at ease.
I need milk too, just used the last of it over cereal this morning…Guess I’ll get some after I leave the Vet’s office for Cici’s shot.

      Love and Hugs,
      Deb xx

  17. Hi hun! πŸ™‚

I got the right meds for a change and the right dose!!! πŸ™‚

I also got a reminder slip for the fasting bloods on the 9th so i am going to try to get an early night and improve my sleep cycle so I don’t miss it.

The good news is that I have more of a problem with will power than actual need to sleep too much – I guess boredom and lack of anything to get up for is the main problem if you don’t include the fabulous dreams! πŸ™‚

    Love and hugs!

    • You back from the pharmacy already!…That was quick!
I’m glad you got is all, and correctly too.
You won’t miss your blood appointment. I have faith in you to get the sleep you need to wake up to be there.
Here’s another clock for you just for the occasion…But you’ll have to set the time on it.
I’ll try to remind you on the 8th about you next day appointment too.
      Love and hugs!
      Debs xx

    • Aw, that’s sweet, Prenin, but I’m not a star, just your friend.
Did you look in your own guestboo?..I left you a comment and images there last night.

      Love and Hugs,
      Deb xx

  18. Like that pic at top, adorable like you my friend πŸ˜‰
I want to thank you for all your kind comments and visits to Ravenwood. It is a treasure to find such friendships as yours Deb, and I a pleased to call you my dear friend.
BTW I live in Utah in the Southeast area, where I am in a hidden valley at the foothills of 4 canyons. In any direction I go there is pretty much wilderness whether it is desert, red rock mesas or in primitive Alpine like mountains I wish to see. There are less than 2,000 people here, no fast food or franchise Markets or Shopping Malls. This can be limiting but on the other hand it is beautiful here.
I am about 2 hours from the Urban areas up North, which suits me fine.
    Smiles and hugs,
    Raven xox

    • Yes, my kitty, with mice to tease.
Oh Raven, you don’t have to thank me. It’s my pleasure to visit you, my friend. Your posts always make me smile.
Utah! That’s right, maybe it’s the four letter that stuck in my head, and ended up guess Iowa.
It sounds very beautiful where you live. I don’t blame you for being away from so much, “so called,” civilization. It’s much nicer in remote places.
I too am in a remote place, but I do have and local grocery store and one fast joint. It’s mostly just trees all around me out here. But in the Spring and Summer when I go to Hatteras where we keep our 5th wheel, that place it busier with folks in the summer for the beach, but not too much. Not like a lot of beaches. This place is more remote, harder to get to. Not just a day trip would do the trick to enjoy the beach, planning to do a weekend of in or longer would be the only way. There are no franchise joint out there either.
I’m glad you stopped in. It gave us a both a chance to learn a bit more of each other and our surroundings.
Hugs, to you, my feathery friend!
      Deb xx

  19. Hey deb .. Today I woke to a white white white world πŸ™‚ Winter has arrived a few months late, but now this Stockholm is currently white cold and beautiful .. Now I wish you a wonderful weekend Hugs Nicki

  20. Hi Deb you have a little yorkie like me mine is a male he is 5lbs .2 a little friend for Cici so cute I had a little 14 yr old dark one like yours but he passed away a yr. ago the little tyke was 3 lbs .6
here is a pic of Lucky for Cicci

    • Oh yes, we gotta love them too. πŸ™‚ I had one that weighed about 6-6 lbs years and years ago too. Sorry for the loss your little one…I know that must have really hurt.
That link you gave me don’t work…Weird, I read the link in my editor but not out the face of blog…How’d you manage that?
Was your dog’s name Cicci? My little girl is Cici.
      Hugs, xx

  21. Hi Debbie! πŸ™‚

The weather tonight is talking -5’C and we have snow forecast for the next 24 hours so I should be waking to a winter wonderland.

Sorry Debbie, you are right: Words DO have power…

I got a good look at my new neighbour Tony when he borrowed my phone and he’s sunken – eyed, gaunt and covered in home made tattoos.

If he isn’t a criminal junkie (I’ve known a few) then I’ll be amazed.

    I just hope he’s getting treatment…

    Love and hugs!

  22. Are you now! We are expecting a bit of a snowy mix Saturday and or, Sunday.

Yes, they are power. God created with His Word, He created us in His image. The words we speak to others and to ourselves carry more power than most of us, including me, think about have the time.

New neighbor?…He don’t sound like one you want to get to close to. Give it time before you jump right in to be chummy with him…He sounds like, if nothing else, a man with an undesirable past…But what do I know….If he does drugs or drinks, I’d stay away from him… always hope they’d get treatment, but they have to want to help themselves first.

Stay warm, door locked, proper meds, and last but last least…Love and Hugs to you!
    Deb xx

  23. Hi Debs! πŸ™‚

Yes it’s bloody cold at the moment with a good few inches of snow turning everything white! πŸ™‚

The Hackers are smart folks, but find it easier to commit crime than earn an honest crust…

Thankfully I’ve taken care to be well protected from the threats on the web, but even so I’ve almost been caught out a time or three…

Tony is an enigma and I have no plans to get close to him – friends like him I can do without and ditto Doug! 😦

Yeah I’ve had to learn the hard way, but sometimes the only thing you can do is stay the hell away from them…

    Love and huge hugs!

    • Cold here too, and still snowing…I guess we both need to try stay warm.
Hackers…I agree with on that one!

More often than not the only way we learn is by our own experience. But please do know realize that alcoholics and drug addicts are all alike, though they claim to be different from each other, except for the ones that suffer both, and are on their way to a more sober life….If this new guy is an drug or alcoholic then he, if not right away, in time, would be treating you the same way Doug did, with the same drama….Remember what I taught you, they are not unique.

Stay safe, stay warm, and keep the addicts on the other side of your door.

      Love and Hugs,
      Deb xx

  24. Thanks Debbie – will do! πŸ™‚

We not only have snow and ice to contend with, we now have thick fog so visibility is ‘way down.

Tomorrow I have to go get milk and lottery tickets, then Thursday it’s the Vampyre and no food from 9pm onward Wednesday.

I’m now having real problems waking up so I’m going to take sleeping pills around 8pm and get an early night – let’s hope I manage it…

    Love and hugs!

    • Yes, I know what you mean with the weather conditions…Not so good here either.
I’m was going to remind you on Wednesday about your appointment for Thursday, but thinking I don’t need to since you can’t get it off your mind.
If I could call you I would, though gmail does offer affordable calling of 02.cent per minute, you would have to sleep near your computer to hear the call come in, and I doubt is would be a loud enough ring.
Listen to me…You’re going to wake up not matter what. God will wake you.
      Love and Hugs,
      Deb xx

    • Try splashing cool water on your face when you feel this tired during the day…It doesn’t last too long but may help if your trying to get something done.
      Love and Hugs always,
      Deb xx

      • Ooooh YES!!! LoL!!!

I used to do that if I was working on a job with a time limit – but the SOB I was working for was far from eager to pay me for it!!! 😦

        Good reminder hun! πŸ™‚

        Love and hugs!

  25. ….Just flying by to thank you for your visit and the kind words Debbie…
It’s nice meeting you, your blog and your amazing artworks πŸ™‚
    Wishing you a lovely evening

    • Hi, nice to see you here today. You are more than welcome and will be back to see more.
Have a great evening yourself, Eclipse!
      Hugs, xx

  26. Hey Deb .. Thanks for your comments .. Now we have winter in Sweden cold but lovely fresh air .. Will do some work today and then take a walk .. Hope all is well with you take care and have a great week .. Hugs Nicki

    • Your most welcome.
It’s winter here too, but most of the snow melted away that we got several days back. Enjoy your walk, Nikki!
      Hugs, xx

  27. Have a great day today Deb, well whenever
you get out of your cosy and warm bed that is πŸ™‚ πŸ˜‰ lol

Be Good Also, if You Can I Mean? πŸ™‚ πŸ˜‰

    Androgoth XXx

    • I’m up… lol I’m a late sleeper in the winter.
Good…I have to be good too! Wasn’t getting out of bed enough?…Sheesh!
Hey, you have a good afternoon…I know, it’s about half over.
      Hugs, xx

  28. HI Debs! πŸ™‚

    I’m just working through today’s 100+ emails! πŸ™‚

Thanks for the visit and comment! πŸ™‚

    Love and hugs!

  29. Hi Debs! πŸ™‚

I got up on time and got to the surgery early.

Mary took two samples and we discussed my meds, but no change is required! πŸ™‚

    Love and hugs!

    • I knew you would get up and get there. I don’t know what raised the concern for you on this one…you never did that before, that I remember anyway.
All is done, and all is well.
Did you pick up any staples like bread and milk while you were out?

      Love and squishy hugs,
      Deb xx

      • HI Debs! πŸ™‚

I was really worried about oversleeping because I often sleep through the alarms – NOT good! 😦

i have just enough money to afford transport tomorrow so i couldn’t pick up anything today.

No worries though – Tomorrow is shopping day! πŸ™‚

The only downer is that the needle mark has bruised a little so I look like a junkie!!! πŸ™‚

        Love and hugs!

        • I know, but you got up and that is all that matters.
Don’t forget to pick yourself up a treat to enjoy while you race.

I had one of those bad blood draws not too long ago…made an ugly bruise in my elbow pit….trans-fiction I believe they call it.

You take care to try to sleep well my friend, and come to see me more often…I miss ya!

          Love and squishy hugs,
          Deb xx

  30. Hello My Friend..

    Fresh air, fresh idea,
    fresh talent, fresh energy,
    I wish u to have a
    special Sunday..
    marvelous Monday,
    tasty Tuesday,
    wonderful Wednesday,
    thankful Thursday,

    • Hi Nikki!
What a wonderful week you have wished for me….Thank you!
You have the same most wonderful week, and thanks for visiting!
      Hugs, xx

  31. Just popping by to say all is quiet and spread a little lurve! πŸ™‚

Tony is smoking dope – I could smell it when I came home from shopping – it’s not a smell I’m ever likely to forget…

    Love and hugs!

    • Just stay away from that clown….Sheezh, he’s just another looser.
I sure with you could afford to move to a better place, Prenin.
Thanks for the visit. My day is always a bit brighter when you stop in. πŸ™‚

      Love and Hugs,
      Deb xx

  32. Thanks for the visit and comment Debs! πŸ™‚

Yeah I’m a complete coward after all I’ve been through, but I still manage to do what I have to… πŸ™‚

Hard to believe that, thirteen years ago, Becky was used as bait in a honey trap after I came out of psychiatric hospital only for me to pass with flying colours.

Now she’s a mom and what she so badly needs is somebody who can look after her kids – and she only has Pat to rely on now because I’m too screwed up – ironic given I am now CRB checked and cleared to work with the elderly, disabled, vulnerable adults and children.

Amazing what people will do for Β£2,000…

    Love and hugs!

    • I know it’s hard for you, but you did it anyway!

Money has a way of showing the true worth of a person’s character…Give them the right offer and they will trade in their values for the cash.

      Love and Hugs,
      Deb xx

  33. Happy Valentine’s Day Deb πŸ™‚
Oh yes and be good too, well
never too good of course πŸ˜‰ πŸ™‚

  34. My Valentine Heart

Valentine’s Day is full of paper hearts,
but my heart for you, my friend,
    is full of feelings
more precious to me than gold,
    as long lasting as diamonds.
My heart for you, my friend
is filled with emotions strong as platinum,
    and appreciation for you
worth more to me than any treasure.
    My Valentine heart is yours,
    my priceless friend.
    Happy Valentine’s Day..

  35. Happy Valentines Day Debbie!!! πŸ™‚

Thanks for the visit and comment! πŸ™‚

I managed OK Debs – three pints over the evening was pretty minimal so I kept my fluids up and stayed sober. πŸ™‚

Today I have a few aches and pains (nothing new there!) and a runny nose, but apart from that I’m fine! πŸ™‚

I’m more worried about what I got off Chris – he was coughing and spluttering over his customers like an old engine! 😦

    Love and hugs hun! πŸ™‚

    • Thank you, Prenin!

You take care of yourself and stay away from sputtering employees.
Get all the fluids you can and lots of bed rest.

      Love and Hugs,
      Deb xx

      • I got an urgent call from Mary the practice nurse to go to the surgery for more blood tests.

The problem is raised liver enzymes, so she needed more blood TODAY and once done she gave me a talk on cholesterol and apparently I’m doing most of the right things, but I need to eat more fruit and veggies – not easy given that the only decent source of fresh fruit and veg is the Co-Op who charge the maximum rate and benefits don’t stretch that far.

If my cholesterol hasn’t dropped by August she’s going to put me on statins.

Given the side effects it will be an act of last resort…

        Love and hugs! πŸ™‚

        • Just got your message… I was out getting Cici her shot.
It’ll be okay Prenin, they can give you meds to lower your cholesterol level. Mitch has been taking meds for it for year. We find it very hard to afford fruit and veggies, but the meds keeps it low. Eat more oatmeal, that will help lower is naturally a lot.

Talk at me when you get back from there.
          Love and Hugs, xx

  36. Hi Debs! πŸ™‚

I just caught your message! πŸ™‚

Everything is peaceful and I just have to wait for the results of the test – maybe next week.

We have good weather today, cloudy, but with some sunshine so the day is looking quite cheerful! πŸ™‚

    Love and hugs!

    • You must mean the one I left you yesterday…I just left your site two seconds ago and left you another…lol
Let me know how those results turn out.

      I’ve been away since 3:30am…Blah!

      Love and Hugs,
      Deb xx

  37. Hi hun! πŸ™‚

Yes, Doug is a mangy , smelly old cat who thinks he can charm his way back into my life!

He left me alone for a few weeks and thinks that, because I helped him when his electricity was cut off because he hadn’t bought enough credit, that he can go back to the way things were before he began making passes at me.

I think he is going to be vereeee disappointed!!! LOL!!!

    love and hugs! πŸ™‚

    • Prenin, if you buy his electric, then he won’t have to. If he didn’t buy booze he would have the money to buy the electric himself. You have to force his to stand on his own two feet. And if he doesn’t then he will hit rock bottom, which is what he needs to become sober. Give him ZERO. I know it’s hard because of our nature to want to help, but an alcoholic must be treated hard in order to get well. And even if he doesn’t get well he will always rely on you cover him on something…always. and it will get worse…I’m going to take you over my knee if you don’t get this.

      Love and Hugs,
      Deb xx

  38. I didn’t pay for his electric – I’m not that dumb – I let him use my phone to get advice as to why he had no credit and couldn’t use the emergency option.

Turns out they were debiting his credit to pay the standing charge for the service, not just for the electricity he was using, so when they debited his credit he was left with no electricity.

Needless to say he came knocking on my door yesterday to borrow money, but I said no and told him I needed it for medical reasons! πŸ™‚

He’s acting like all the crap he played with me was forgotten (he claimed to be too drunk to remember), but I won’t forget that’s for sure…

    Love and hugs!

    • I’m glad to hear all this. I thought you had paid it for him…He’ll always play some stupid game to try to get in your good graces…just as glad your on to this.
Someone needs to slap the crap out of that guy…but even that would not do any good.

Don’t forget to let me know about your test result of the test you had.

Cici had her last shot today only because the Vet is curious if she is over it. He will do a fecal test once she eliminates for me, and we’ll know next week where she stands.

      Thanks for the visit, Prenin!

      Love and Hugs,
      Deb xx

        • I know just what you mean…I won’t be at peace either till we know for sure. And yes, it is something how we can take to an animal. Even you I think have got a little attached to Cici.
          Love and Hugs,
          Deb xx

  39. just caught your comment! πŸ™‚

You are sooo darned right – as long as we have phones and doors they’ll keep trying! 😦

    Love and hugs!

  40. Just to let you know Doug has flipped out and has taken a flick knife to the Job Centre – he says if they cut his Benefits again he’s going to slash his wrists.

He’s too much in love with life though so I doubt if he’ll do it – he’s been threatening suicide ever since he lost his incapacity benefit and has got no further than talk about it – and if he does he won’t cut deep enough to do the job as he’s strictly a fantasist.

Whatever happens it is no longer my problem – even though he keeps dragging me into his sordid little world…

    Love and hugs!

    • We just nick name him Flipper…nah, that name belongs to an adorable dolphin. How about crack-pot?…Nah, not original enough. I guess we’ll think of something…that’s about all he is good for. Just a shame he has to live right across the hallway from you.

Did you know that an alcoholic like to be the center of attention…that’s right, they think of us as their audience, and desiring out approval only to manipulate for their own cause, which is drinking.

One of these days you will be leaving me a message that he has either lost his mind and was taken away in the loony bin, got arrested, or died…till then, he shall remain in his sickening state on self pity.

      Love and Hugs, my friend!
      Deb xx

  41. Hi Debs! πŸ™‚

    Just caught your comment! πŸ™‚

Yep: Keith survived a serious smash-up because modern cars are so well designed! πŸ™‚

The AA are examining the airbags to see why they didn’t deploy which is important as they could be flawed in design and may fail to work in other, more serious, collisions…

    Love and hugs!

  42. Oh what a nice warm welcome…Absolutely love strolling in your sphere…each leaf is an inspiration. they all belong to one huge tree of brilliant sketches, paintings….what a bliss to sit under this tree and let it whisper poems and stories.
hugs to my beautiful talented lovely friend πŸ™‚

    • Soma! I’m humbled by your beautiful and thoughtful words….thank you.
Now you know, you better know that you are one of my dearest and most precious friends. Not because of all the nice things you say about my artwork, but because you know me so well, yet love e just the same. I can only hope to be a good as friend to you, as your are to me…I have the rest of my life to try.
Have a beautiful day, touched by the hand of God.
      Love and Hugs, my friend!

  43. Hi Hun! πŸ™‚

Thanks for the visit and comment! πŸ™‚

yes, the games DO tend to keep me entertained! πŸ™‚

I use a small soda bottle and drink water fresh from the tap.

No idea WHY it happens, only that it occurs occasionally and keeps me close to the plumbing! LOL!!!

    Love and hugs!

    • Maybe you could try some bottled water just for drinking….don’t know if that will make a difference though.
It’s got to be a bummer when that happens though.

      Love and hugs,
      Deb xx

  44. Hi Debs! πŸ™‚

    Yeah I goofed.

He was late for his appointment and it was raining so I gave him enough to get the bus into Middleton, but on receiving it he announced that he already had Β£5 in his Bank account and was going to use it to buy drink.

There’s no sign of him today, but now Tony is trying to get money out of me!

First a deviant alcoholic, now a druggy knocking at my door – how could I get so lucky???

    Love and hugs!

    • Have you thought of complaining to your apartment manager about him pestering you…Maybe they will evict him for bothering good tenants.

Anyway, all they do is lie, they can’t help it, they just do…and don’t feel sorry for them for it. He’s just a common alcoholic that is not unique

Here let me try to explain them another way:

You know what a Zombie is…right? Same body as the once lovable person, but the once lovable person does not seem to live in that body anymore. Further more, being a Zombie it acts just like other Zombies…all the same, and not unique from on another and they all desire the same thing…to eat you up alive.
So…just like a Zombie the Alcoholic has the same body (sorta) but their minds have been taken from them by Alcohol, and their only desire is their drink and will lie constantly to get what they want. their drink, their drink, their drink.
Doug does not care about you, he never has. His only motive to to see what funds he can get out of you to make his drinking life come a bit easier. Even if all he could get you to provide some household needed item or utility it is one less thing he has to buy so he can drink….His drink, Prenin. that’s all he cares about.
Oh, and him sobbing over his deceased daughter (if that even be true) is just another roost to get you to feel sorry for him so you will help him, so he does not have to help himself….Remember, he has only ONE (1) motive, and that is to drink….ESPECIALLY, at your EXPENSE.

Love and Hugs, my great friend!
      Deb xx

      • Hi Debs! πŸ™‚

And now my new neighbour the drug addict has taken to knocking on my door and asking for money – seems he heard me when I gave Doug what was supposed to be bus fare…

I get the Zombie analogy Debs – trouble is I ain’t allowed to shoot them in da head!!!

There’s been no sign of Doug today, so if he flashed that highly illegal switchblade in the Job Centre he’s most likely being detained by the forces of law and disorder.

        I can but hope…

        Love and hugs hun!

        • He first found out you give out money through Doug.

Just as a Zombie there is only one way to rid of them…like you said. “Shoot them in the head.” Instead with an alcoholic you do the one thing that will off them….You deny them of what they want…see what I’m getting at? The are not unique…same and possessed by a drink that makes all of them behave the same.

I actually hope he would do that, because getting arrested would be the best thing that ever happened to him…and for you. Now don’t go thinking I’m mean…this is what you call, “tough love.”

In other words, they can be drunks and addicts if they want, but you train them not to bother you.

          Love and Hugs,

PS Don’t you give one cent or Euro or, whatever you call your change to that other guy either…don’t do it, or you will have a pack of hungry cats at your door, and they will spread the word that you are free money if you bug the guy enough.

  45. Hi hun!

    No sign of Doug today.

Yes, I’ll keep my pounds and pence to myself! πŸ™‚

Tony is easier to say no to – I have no history with him…

    Love and hugs! πŸ™‚

    • Great! No new from them is good news.
Put a sipper on the pocket with a lock on the end of it…lol

You have yourself a nice quiet day, hon…except for visiting me..hehe
      Love and Hugs,
      Deb xx

  46. Hi Debs! πŸ™‚

I can’t afford to go to the doctor until next week as the blood tests used up all my spare cash and I still have a possible ultrasound scan to go to.

I’m with you on the lifestyle and my weight IS coming off, but slowly…

I agree Debs – so far there has been no sign of Doug or Tony, but the door is locked and the chain is on, just in case! πŸ™‚

With luck Doug is either in the hands of the Police, or a secure psychiatric unit, but either way he’ll be out of my hair…

I don’t know what will happen hun.

Every time the Conservatives change the benefits system another tranche of sick and disabled are forced back into the job market.

I am regarded as severely mentally ill, but even Cancer victims are not safe from this government…

    Love and hugs!

    • I know you have been loosing weight, but read your package’s ingredients to make sure they’re low in saturated fats and sodium. Sodium can cause high blood pressure which is not good for anyone, but giving your symptoms you need to be a wee bit more careful…ok
I know it is not easy to get the fruits, veggies and nuts we needs…at least not on a regular basis due to the rising prices. But what you can afford eat in moderation if they are high in those things. It would be very good for you to not intake more than 25mg of saturated fat in one day. Also, lots of water…at least 8 glasses a day. And since you like tea…get some green tea, even if only one cup a day..

That is just like a government…all controlling.

      Love and Hugs,
      Deb xx

  47. Hi hun! πŸ™‚

Doug got home Monday night and is avoiding me.

Guess Mister ‘Control Freak’ and bullying coward didn’t slash his wrists and more likely got picked up by the Police! πŸ™‚

I’m not going to ask him what happened – like you said: He’d be back trying to manipulate and sponge off me in a trice if I even LOOK concerned – but on the plus side if he DID get arrested for possession of a deadly weapon then his trial will be the least of his woes.

Here in the UK possession of a knife with intent to endanger life is a five year stretch at a minimum unless he gets a good lawyer – and a public defender is not what you’d call good or else they’d be raking it in.

Nope: Looks like I’m going to end up with a new neighbour come summer…

    Love and hugs!

P.S: Since I stopped drinking the cordial my heart rate has returned to normal and I feel much improved… πŸ™‚

    • Yes, don’t ask him about it. And he may or may not tell you either to save his own lieing face.
Maybe he did spend the night in jail with a new court date waiting for him…who knows, and who care.
What sounds great to is that he may be gone by summer.

Your public defenders sound like our….so underpaid that they go through effortless motions just to get their pay checks.

I didn’t know you stopped drinking, not that you drank much to begin with. But that was a good idea….good for your heart.
I just don’t think you should have to go through the discomfort with your heart if you are doing your part…there must be something they can give you to keep it from happening, or to lessen the degree that it does happen.

      Speak soon.
      Love and Hugs,
      Deb xx

  48. Hi Debs! πŸ™‚

Thanks for the visit and comment! πŸ™‚

It has been 48 hours since I stopped drinking the cordial and the symptoms have mostly disappeared! πŸ™‚

I had frozen chilli concarne and rice which was tasty, but a bit bland! πŸ˜›

The frozen meals fit neatly into my freezer and are easy to microwave, are calorie counted so I can keep track of what I’ve had, but the downside is that I can’t recycle the packaging…

    Love and hugs!

    • No trouble…I like visiting you…sorry I nagged, but you know, someone has to look after you a bit.
I’m going to nag a little more too. I know you are watching your calories to loose weight, but remember to keep the saturated fats low too for you heart (plus it helps lots to loose weight) Try to keep it as close to 25mg per day as you can.

Strange you can’t recycle the package…what is it made out of? No matter, won’t change a thing, eh.

      Love and Hugs,
      Deb xx

  49. Hi Debs! πŸ™‚

Yeah I’m watching the saturated fats closely – biggest problem is that the margarine I use has just 25% the saturated fat of butter, but doesn’t actually say HOW MUCH it contains…

There’s a brand of margarine on sale which reduces cholesterol called Benecol, but it’s three times as expensive as Margarine and not sold in all shops.

The ready meals average 4.5grams of fat per serving, so I’m able to monitor how much I eat.

The plastic tray is made of black PETE, but the council don’t recycle them.

We can’t recycle card and paper because of the risk of arson which is a BIG problem around here as we have three teenage firebugs who even set curtains alight if the window is open! 😦

The Police can’t do anything until some major damage is done, or somebody dies, in which case they can allocate resources to the investigation.

Right now the government is cutting Police funds by 20% because of the depression which means a big drop in Police numbers.

We have PCSO’s (Police Community Support Officers) who are powerless, although they CAN call for Police help if they run into a crime usually involving our teenage hellions.

Back when they were first introduced the press laid out exactly what powers they had, so now the kids just laugh at them.

Truth is that they are just policing on the cheap to make up for a lack of Police numbers…

    Love and hugs!

    • Doesn’t the Margarine have a chart on the side of the container where it list the fat.
Prenin, butter is healthier for you than that stuff you are using, even if it does have less fat.
      Here is the difference.
Butter: The fat that is natural
Bencol: The fat is man made. it also contain Partially Hydrogenated soybean oil which is very bad for you.

It’s better to use the butter…in moderation. The other stuff overtime is bad on your heart.

Remember this when you shop. The label on the front is to get people to buy it (generally lies). The label on the side tell all. Not just the calorie, fats and sugar part, but the “INGREDIENTS.”

Sound like you part is to the world is in about as bad as shape as ours.

      Love and Hugs,
      Deb xx

    • You are so sweet, Soma, and being your friend is as easy as taking a breath of fresh air!
You are very special to me…don’t you forget it either. I love you!
Thank you for the present too, it’s beautiful!
      Love and Hugs, xx

  50. I agree Doug may be setting up to borrow from me again, I had the same problem with Darrell who was also alcoholic and I looked after him after his stroke!

In eleven months Darrell would borrow Β£10, pay you back promptly at first, then only pay half of what he owed before borrowing still more.

He died owing me Β£176, John Β£300, Mark Β£200.

And that was AFTER repaying me £108 because he wanted to lure me to his bungalow so I would teach him to use his computer! 😦

Now I have Doug going the same way…

I feel great now the Aspartame is out of my system – hard to believe they’d sell a chemical so widely as a food additive that is actually VERY bad for you!!!

    Oh. Yeah.

    MacDonalds… 😦

    Love and hugs!

    • Prenin, let this list of guys that have not ever paid you back be a lesson for you.
Doug would truly die owning you, or move away owing you. Remember….everything he does and says is only a plan for his next drink….that’s is the only way he knows how to think…he can’t help it, the alcohol does all his thinking for him.
If he wants to give you money back, let him, but mark my words…If he gave you only some of the money back he owed you and wants to borrow again, and you say know, he will try to make you feel guilty about it…..Don’t you let it! He may never give you another pence as a result, but don’t give him anymore money.

Lots of things in foods are bad for us…like that the stuff in margarine for example, which is artery clogging.
I’m just glad you figured out what it was….good job, my friend!

      Love and Hugs,
      Deb xx

  51. Thanks hun! πŸ™‚

I guess you could say it was a lesson learned! πŸ™‚

I changed my margarine to a lower calorie version with no bad stuff in – probably tastes like crap, but i’ll get used to it… πŸ™‚

    Love and hugs!

  52. Will do hun!!! πŸ™‚

    Nagging? LOL!!!

It just shows you care… πŸ™‚

I blew Β£73 on food for two weeks which is good, but packing it all away was a bit of a job! πŸ™‚

    Love and hugs!

    • Sure makes you feel good when the freezer is full though.

It is only because I care…thank you.

Keep me posted on your heart too.
      Love and Hugs,
      Deb xx

  53. Hi Debs! πŸ™‚

Just dropping by to tell you the arrhythmia has stopped and so have the palpitations.

Aspartame definitely was the source of the problem! 😦

I checked the fruit juice I normally buy as a shopping treat and it too contained Aspartame, so I just bought Lager instead – if I allow myself two cans per day I’ll be under the limit and still have something other than endless cups of tea to enjoy… πŸ˜›

The trouble with having an alcoholic next door is that you become very paranoid about your own drinking habits…

Looks like I had a good shopping day though – lots of good food and I avoided the rain which is dotting my window as I write.

I can’t afford to go to church on Sunday, but once I have some money put aside (Providing I don’t need an ultrasound scan) I’ll go make an appearance at church.

The news is full of reports on metal thieves ripping the lead off church roofs across the country which really burns my butt because now insurers are proving unwilling to pay out for the extensive repairs!!!

There’s a possibility of roofs being repaired with steel coloured to look like lead, but it’s untested…

    Love and hugs!

    • Sounds like you found the source of you heart trouble. That’s good that you are reading your labels to make sure you don’t get anything with the aspartame in it.

It’s actually good that you feel a bit paranoid because of him…It will keep you a sober mind.

      Love and Hugs,
      Deb xx

  54. Hi hun!

I may have spoken too soon: I had palpitations last night when i lay on my left side, but nothing as bad as before.

I lay on my right side and had a good night’s sleep though, so it could just be that I’m not free of the Aspartame just yet.

Worst case could be that I have the arrhythmia and it’s varying day to day, but there’s a heck of a lot of information on the web about Aspartame – shocking amounts – but Snopes says that it’s false.

    Who do you trust???

    Love and hugs!

    • I would trust what your body tells you when you use it, and not use it. You will have to put it to the test…the results is what I’d trust for the truth.

      Love and Hugs,
      Deb xx

  55. Hi hun! πŸ™‚

Thanks for the visit and comment! πŸ™‚

Yes it WAS a busy day! πŸ™‚

I’m being very careful now – every day I feel better and better, so maybe there IS a root cause…

Theoretically I should be free of it in two weeks time, but it depends on how my body cleanses itself.

The information I read on the web was very disturbing…

    Love and hugs!

  56. Hi Debs! πŸ™‚

I had a lot of anxiety attacks yesterday, but was able to sleep on my left side without any heart problems.

Aspartame MAY be the problem, but it’s too early to tell.

The stuff is not supposed to be heated above 86’C because it then breaks down, but if you were OK with it then maybe you weren’t sensitive to it or it simply didn’t happen in a bad way – although they DID warn against using it in baked goods…

Heart problems come to us all hun – as I get panic and anxiety attacks I have been more prone to them because they put additional stress on your heart.

Always glad to visit Debs – and I love the emails! πŸ™‚

    God Bless!

    • Yes, I suppose one way or another, to some degree we get troubles with our heart. But it helps when we can rule things out to that may be aggravating it.
I suffered with panic attacks for over 15 years, maybe a bit longer….didn’t record the dates. Anyway, during those years my heart seemed to suffer so much more, even when I was not having attacks I seemed to have my share of troubles.

I love visiting you too, Prenin, and all the emails and forwards you sent me…some are real hoots too!…lol
God bless you always, my friend. Stay well, and stay happy!….and win big!
      Love and Hugs, Deb xx

      • Thanks Debs – the fact that you know about panic attacks, even suffered them, makes it certain you know what I’m talking about.

Explaining to people about the confusion, anxiety, disorientation, vomiting and mind storms that go with them is sometimes difficult because they have no points of reference.

Still: Despite having multiple anxiety attacks yesterday, today I just feel tired – like I’ve run a marathon, or been swimming…

        Love and hugs!

  57. Hi Debs! πŸ™‚

I really did think I was in with a chance to win the Jackpot – I was sick with excitement – but when I read the numbers I felt my dreams come crashing down.

Still: Β£5.50 means I save on my lottery tickets and can afford a treat! πŸ™‚

You have a great day too my friend – maybe next time hey??? πŸ™‚

    Love and hugs!

    • I know you do, which is one of the reason why it is easy for you to worry a lot about things.
I would think all the email would keep you busy constantly, but you are such a speed demon when it comes to reading and typing you have it done in no time at all.
Race more I guess, or maybe subscribe to another 100 blogs….no, don’t do that, I won’t see you as much then.
      How about more games?

      Fixed it.

      Love and Hugs,
      Deb xx

      • I have to save for a while – my bills took a chunk out of my savings – but once I’m back up to speed I’m going to get a new game.

I have three which I haven’t played yet, but that’s because they either involve killing, fast reflexes, or were sold under false pretenses…

My game of choice would be ‘Motorstorm – Apocalypse’ which is another race game, but it may be download only and I’m a bit wary of putting my credit card details in the hands of SONY again after the last mess!!! 😦

No worries though: All it takes is time… πŸ™‚

        Love and hugs!

  58. Hi Debs! πŸ™‚

Thanks as always for the visit and comment my friend! πŸ™‚

Yeah the Big One would solve so many problems for me! πŸ™‚

    Mmmmm Cookies… πŸ˜›

Pity I’m on this diet – I’m not allowed any kind of biscuit because of the cholesterol, so I’m limited on what I can eat even before I worry about losing weight! 😦

I’m trying to push the clock again – getting up at midnight and going to bed after church is favourite – but it’s a slooow process! πŸ™‚

I was supposed to wake about 7pm, but Tony knocked on looking for batteries!

Unable to get any from me he tried Doug and got nowhere…

Sounds good my friend – better peace and quiet than the nonsense we get here!!! πŸ™‚

    God Bless!

  59. HI Debs! πŸ™‚

You are right of course – this constant need to borrow is a bad sign and one which will not improve with time…

Yes, we do indeed let our fingers do the walking – that is an old slogan from Yellow Pages which was a business directory in the 70’s.

Today they are on the web and are called ‘Yell’, but still have the original fingers icon! πŸ™‚

Hope you have a lovely day!!! πŸ™‚

    Huge hugs!

    • I remember that old slogan, we had it here too!..That was the jingle that was in my mind when I left you the comment.
Yes, best not get in the habit of loaning out to them two (Tony and Doug), or any other low life neighbor in your building….just think in your mind when they ask…”a pack of hungry cats will be at my door if I do.”

Thank for the visit, my fried…you visits always make me happy.
      Love and Hugs,
      Deb xx

  60. Hi Debs! πŸ™‚

I got a comment from Andro and found Jen’s new site via his blogroll! πŸ™‚

i had to ‘follow’ her blog twice and i stuck it in storage too so I won’t lose it again! πŸ™‚

    Love and hugs!

    • That great!
I tried to subscribe to her private blog, but have not had any approval from her…Oh well.

      Love and Hugs,
      Deb xx

  61. HI Debs! πŸ™‚

    Just caught your comments! πŸ™‚

Yes, it has been quiet for both of us which is no bad thing! πŸ™‚

When i went to get my meds the Pharmacist was one huge bundle of guilt – she’s a sweet muslim girl, but their incompetence nearly cost me my life…

    Love and hugs!

    • I guess in order to feel guilty, one would have to be guilty, unless they have issues or something.

Quiet mean no trouble, and no trouble is always good.

      Love and Hugs,
      Deb xx

    • Andro…thank you!. I’m playing catch up again, my friend!
Thank you for stopping in to wish me wicked rest of the weekend.
      Hugs, xx

    • It’s always nice to see you, Nikki! My week is going good…well…I did have a tooth pulled yesterday, but I feel good as new today!
      Hugs, xx

  62. Thanks for the love Birthday wish and charmed gif… I finally figured out the simple way to add it to comment through editing yours!!! You brought me luck πŸ˜‰
    love you,

    • Well that’s cool!…glad to hear that!
I’m glad you liked your gift. I had just learned through the grapevine that it was your birthday too. And you know what…we have something else in common….my birthday is 4 days after yours.
      Thanks Raven!
      Love and Hugs, xx

      • So on the 9th? as mine is Mar 5? I wish there was a way to know our blogging friends Birthdays πŸ™‚

        • I found out your birthday at Nikki’s. She has a page for birthdays so that she will know when it’s someone birthday if we would be willing to share the date. I didn’t find your there…I hadn’t looked, but Andro had made mention of your birthday when him and Nikki were discussing March birthdays….Maybe we should all consider making a page like that, and ask our friend to offer their birth date on it.
Yes, mine is on March 9th.
          Love and Hugs, xx

  63. Hi hun! πŸ™‚

    Just caught your comment! πŸ™‚

Yes, it’s amazing what crap they put in food these days.

If it says ‘Sugar free’ or ‘No Added Sugar’ it either has Aspartame in it or the ingredients have so much sugar in them anyway they have no need to add more! 😦

    Ouch! 😦

IBS is a nightmare – I get it if I eat cashew nuts! 😦

I’m glad you got the tooth pulled – sorry it had to take so long! 😦

    Still: All better now! πŸ™‚

    Love and squishy hugs!

    • There seems to be more additives in food that the food itself.

Yes, “Ouch,” I’m having trouble as we speak. This has been an ongoing thing for years..decades actually. Now I find out that aspartame with aggravate it, which I’ve been putting in my coffee since the early 80’s. I idea of stopping use of it is just about unthinkable. Guess we do what we have to do though to make things function.

Aw, I wasn’t suffering much from my tooth. It would hurt from time to time, and wanted to make sure it was out of my mouth before we went to Hatteras though so I would have to deal with it.

Mouth feels great now….no pain, not even from the pull. πŸ™‚

      Thanks Prenin…you’re a sweetheart!

      Love and Hugs, xx

  64. Hi hun! πŸ™‚

It’s 4.29am and I’m trawling my way through my emails! πŸ™‚

the game I ordered for my old Atari ST(E) is ‘Frontier’ which is the second in the series, but not for the game – I needed the star map for my story which Red is looking at.

If she likes it I’m going to do some work on it and expand the story to make it longer and improve the character development.

Since dad forced me to burn my first manuscript and destroyed my typewriter I found myself writing just for fun with never a thought of publishing a story.

Now Red has awakened a long forgotten dream and maybe just a distant hope…

    Love and hugs always! πŸ™‚

  65. Hi Debs! πŸ™‚

Yes, it was soooo quiet I dug out my metal tapes and did some head banging to Anthrax and Hawkwind! πŸ™‚

It still amazes me that they kicked Lemmy out of Hawkwind for drug use – that’s like a member of the SS being kicked out for cruelty! LoL!!!

    Love and squishy hugs!

    • Made a little of your own noise did ya. I have to do stuff like that…tv, radio or something.

Am I missing something you and I talked about somewhere…I don’t think I follow

I’m off the warm my sheets till morning.
      Love and Hugs, xx

      • ??? No idea hun! 😦

No worries – the trouble with this form of communication is that stuff gets lost in transmission! LoL!!!

        Speaking of which!!! πŸ™‚

        Haaaapy birthday to you!!! πŸ™‚

Wish I could send you a prezzie, but all I can do is send you all my love!!! πŸ™‚

    • Hehe, I didn’t know what else to talk about on your post, but I can always let you know I came to see you, and hoping a great day for ya! πŸ™‚
      Thanks, Prenin!
      Love and Hugs, xx

  66. Hi Hun! πŸ™‚

Given the warnings in the media I had to accede tp common sense and stay offline until the threat had passed.

Maybe a bit over-cautious i know, but despite the predictions nothing actually happened.

The grocery shopping was done ASAP and I was glad to get home! πŸ™‚

Thanks hun – racing is fun, but I need a new game, so I’ll look into that next month…

    Love and hugs!

  67. Hi hun! πŸ™‚

As long as it isn’t the Titanic I’ll be happy! LoL!!! πŸ™‚

Red has a lot on her plate at the moment, so although I’m as anxious as a mother hen I know I have to be patient.

Given my father’s penchant for destroying everything I ever created in his ongoing efforts to debase me and break my spirit – as he did to my mother and tried to do to my siblings – I am afraid that it will not be good enough, but at least I will have tried…

    Love and hugs! πŸ™‚

    • It won’t be the Titanic, but it will be a big shipload of money.
You know, you are right, you won’t be good enough….YOU”LL BE BETTER!
      Love and Hugs,
      Deb xx

  68. Just caught your second comment! πŸ™‚

Yes Sunday was one of my better days, but the video didn’t come out all that well and I’ve had problems with the video editing software, but I can fix most of it – I’m clever like that! πŸ™‚

    Love and hugs sweetheart! πŸ™‚

  69. Hi hun! πŸ™‚

Yep: Ian is a dude! πŸ™‚

I managed to make the third and final version of the DVD which is test running as i write.

Not so much perseverance as sheer bloodymindedness! πŸ™‚

We have a mix of sun and light cloud at the moment and it is 16.8’C which is quite warm! πŸ™‚

    Love and squishy hugs!

    • I didn’t see this one till today. Well I did, because I approved it, but missed replying to ya….my head hangs low in shame.

Yes, Ian is a good guy…and a wonderful poet too. πŸ™‚

i don’t know a thing about what it is you do with those DVD, but am just glad now you were able to get it finished.

      Love and Hugs, Deb xx

  70. Hi hun! πŸ™‚

Thanks for the visit and the comment! πŸ™‚

Most of the problems with the DVD were down to bugs in the editor software, so I was struggling a bit! 😦

Still: I managed to use a few work-arounds and got there in the end! πŸ™‚

Yeah saying no to the cats isn’t easy, they are nothing if not persistent, but then again I need the practice as ‘NO’ was a word that I was not allowed to use under my father’s roof…

    Love and huge hugs! πŸ™‚

    • All I know is your good at that sort of stuff. Me…I have no idea of how to even begin, work it, or finish it.

BINGO! There’s your silver lining! Now you can get something out of it while they aggravate you.

      Love and Hugs,
      Deb xx

  71. Hi Debs! πŸ™‚

Thanks for the visit and the comment! πŸ™‚

What gets me is that my life and reputation was almost ruined by false and malicious allegations made out of sheer greed, yet these kids can run around creating havoc and bloody murder and are untouchable…

Like you say: “That law has always been for the accused.”

The dream wasn’t a problem – me feeling like I was dying in my sleep was… 😦

    Today I feel 100% – if a little hungry! LoL!!! πŸ™‚

    Love and hugs! πŸ™‚

  72. Hi Debs! πŸ™‚

Yes the weather has improved here – lots of sunshine today and a gentle breeze, so I just carried my coat to the main hall at church! πŸ™‚

Yeah the Umbrella came in useful – it was certainly wet enough!!! LoL!!! πŸ™‚

Damned right about Doug – he’s a real creepy guy and devious with it once you get past the ingratiating behavior and charm – a VERY offensive character! 😦

He seems to think I have a short memory, but while my short-term memory is affected, my long-term memory is unimpaired… 😦

    Love and hugs!

    • Alcoholics are the ones with a short memory, and they also think everyone forgets when they do….just don’t you forget. He is nothing but a…well…you know. Just don’t trust him ever.
Practice this Prenin. Whenever you lay eyes on him say, the word, “No.” If he pops in your mind for some reason…say, “No.” Even if you are saying it to yourself, but best just loud enough for your ears to hear you say the word, “NO!” It is practice for when he has to hear it. πŸ™‚

      Love you much, my friend!
      Hugs, xx
      Deb xx

  73. Hi, Deb!
I came around my blog and wanted to know how you re doing. Hope everything s great in your world!
    Wish you a wonderful spring!
    Big hug,

  74. I do hope that you are well my great friend
as I have not seen you on here very much
lately… Do call by whenever you return πŸ™‚

Be well and be good too or else? πŸ˜‰ lol

    Androgoth XXx

  75. Hi hun! πŸ™‚

Glad you made it to the island OK – now enjoy your time there and relax! πŸ™‚

Sorry you had such a drain on your resources, but Cici was worth it! πŸ™‚

    Love and squishy hugs!

  76. Hi Debs! πŸ™‚

Yes, it is the beginning of a beautiful Spring and Summer!!! πŸ™‚

I’m recovering from a bad attack of a flu-like illness.

Normally I’d be sick for a couple of days and then gradually recover, but I’ve been sick for six days and I’m only just beginning to recover over the past day.

On the plus side I lost 2Lbs so I am now looking at 108Kg on my scales! πŸ™‚

Supper tonight is chicken casserole – the second hot meal in six days! πŸ™‚

    Love and hugs!

    • Oooh! Prenin! I’m sorry you were sick, my friend! I always try to talk at you when you don’t feel well…okay, I always talk to you, but you know what I mean.
I’m glad you started to feel better today and able to eat a hot meal. Keep getting better, Prenin.
      Love and Hugs, xx

  77. Thanks hun! πŸ™‚

I ran into Lillian and she was finding it hard to breath in the warm weather.

It was my first day out since i took ill, but I got my milk, lottery tickets and medical supplies so I should be OK for another four days! πŸ™‚

I’ll let you know how I go, but so far it’s looking good… πŸ™‚

    Love and hugs! πŸ™‚

    • Just don’t you let anything bad happen to you. And if you ever end up in a hospital for any reason make sure your moms or a sibling contacts me….promise me, please!
      Love and Hugs1 πŸ™‚
      Deb xx

  78. Just caught your comment! πŸ™‚

Thanks for the best wishes and the card – I look pretty green around the gills myself! πŸ™‚

Whatever it is, it isn’t ‘flu.

I have had endless colds and been fine, had the ‘flu and pneumonia and didn’t feel half as sick as I have since this started on Wednesday.

I need to be up at 8.15am to get a doctors appointment and right now I’m sleeping up to 12 hours at a time so it isn’t possible.

Even if I did manage to contact the doctor I would be told not to come in as this would spread the infection – I have an NHS information leaflet on the subject.

    Love and hugs!

  79. The NHS is the National Health Service that Cameron is trying so hard to destroy.

He’s trying to make a business out of it so his backers can make more money.

The big thing was his Deputy treasurer was caught asking for large donations to the Conservative party in return for access to the Prime Minister, so he’s resigned and the Conservatives are trying to perform an internal enquiry so they can sweep it under the carpet.

This has to have been the most corrupt government we’ve ever had this century….

Mum isn’t well up on PC’s and I can’t trust my step-dad with my personal stuff, both my brothers live too far away and everyone around me would sell my secrets to the press and media as soon as they got access to my PC, so getting anyone to tell you is pretty much impossible…

On the bright side I’m recovering a day at a time so please don’t worry!!! πŸ™‚

    Love and poorly hugs!

    • Your government sounds as screwed up as ours….their crooks.

I’ll try not to worry, but we have got to find someone you trust to give my email to to let me know how your are if something were to happen to you…someone at the church maybe. I know you will be able to think of someone.

Meanwhile…I’ll try not to worry if your are getting better each day. But Prenin. I have known you about a year give or take and your have been sick so many times. How can I not worry about you some.

      You just keep getting better.
      Love and Hugs, Deb xx

  80. Thanks for the get well card Debs! πŸ™‚

Yeah I feel a lot better today, but still coughing gunk up and feeling pretty weak.

I agree Debs, but I’ve already made it clear to him I want no part of him, hence the ‘jokes’…

The special word has been used and now he gets no more help from me! πŸ™‚

Glad you made it back to the island OK – you are so lucky to have two homes! πŸ™‚

    Love and squishy hugs!

    • Glad to hear you are getting better every day. The gunk is just the sickness coming out of you, even though is is uncomfortable.

Glad to hear you are using the word we talked about….He’ll need to hear it often.

Two home have been nice, but one of them has got to go…we can’t afford both. We listed the house and hope for the best. If it sells, maybe we can find another house here, then sell the camper….It’s in God’s hands now.

      Love and Hugs, xx

      • If God brings you to it he’ll see you through it! πŸ™‚

Don’t sell too cheap though – house prices here dropped after the Bank crash and I have friends who would have to make a loss if they were to move…

        Love and hugs always!

        • I figure if God wants me to live here, then he will find a descent buyer for the house, otherwise…it’s not His plan for me. And His plans are better and safer than what I could ever drum up.
I do know that I can’t afford the house if something were to happen to Mitch. So one way or another…it’s got to go.

          Love and squishy hugs,
          Deb xx

  81. Hi Debs! πŸ™‚

No worries about playing catch-up I’ll still be here when you get round to it! πŸ™‚

Today I just have a sore throat and a cough, the worst of the symptoms having faded! πŸ™‚

    I guess I’m beating it!!! πŸ™‚

Can’t seem to keep warm though, so I guess I’m not 100% yet…

    Love and hugs!

    • Sore throat are no fun at all, and it sounds like you have a fever if your still cold.
You keep your self warm and keep on getting better….lots of fluids

  82. Thanks Debs! πŸ™‚

Day by day, in every way, I’m getting better and better! πŸ™‚

It’s 4.44am here and I have to be up until at least 6am because I’m pushing the clock as my medication day was Friday and I was too ill to go get it.

Right now I don’t feel tired, just very feverish and I have a bit of a dry cough…

    Love and hugs! πŸ™‚

    • Over all, it does sound like you are improving each day though. One day you will just wake up and it will all be gone. Hopefully sooner, than later.
      Love and Hugs, xx

  83. Hi hun! πŸ™‚

Yes, even the cough is improving and I’m bringing up less crap and it’s white now, not green, so it looks like the infection has pretty much gone! πŸ™‚

Tomorrow I have to go get my meds so I’m going to try to stay awake until 9.30am, phone for my meds, if they’re ready I’ll then go collect them! πŸ™‚

They really are an incompetent bunch of twonks, but they’re the only show in town…

    Love and hugs!

    • I’m am just relieved to hear you are getting better more than anything else.

I know, they’re always messing thing up at that drugstore you use.

      Love and Hugs, xx

  84. Hi Debs! πŸ™‚

Yeah I’m feeling better – coughing less – and I’m past the fever stage so no need to dry my pillows.

I agree about listening to my gut!

At the moment I have room to maneuver, so I’m focussing on getting the editing done and making it readable for Red.

Once the die is cast I’ll have no way back to my comfortable lifestyle so I want to be damned sure that I’m going to be OK when I make the final step…

Ho hum – nobody said life was going to be easy – and I must admit the thought of rubbing dad’s face in it does have rather a lot of charm! πŸ™‚

    Love and hugs!

    • You know there are no guarantees in life. Just be sure you are ready to take a new step and how it could effect your life before you do…k?
Aww, Prenin, you don’t need to rub his nose in it. You’re above that, and surely above him. Don’t worry, he will have to answer to God for all of his pretreatments to you.

Rom 12:18 If it is possible, as far as is in you, being in peace with all men.
Rom 12:19 not avenging yourselves, beloved, but giving place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”
Rom 12:20 Therefore if your enemy hungers, feed him. If he thirsts, give him drink. For in so doing you shall heap coals of fire on his head.
Rom 12:21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

      You heard the Man! πŸ™‚

      Love and big hugs, xx

      • I’d be happy to do it, but right now I have his death threats hanging over me and he’s threatened worse because I won’t stay quiet about his abuse, taste for the worst kind of porn and unwillingness to atone for his crimes.

        Maybe one day hey? πŸ™‚

        Love and hugs! πŸ™‚
