  1. WOOOHOOOO I’M FIRST!!! 😎

    Hi Debs!!! 🙂

    Just caught your comment! 🙂

Yeah a Kindle is a luxury that requires Wi Fi to synch with your PC.

Apparently they come with 4G connectivity too, but I’m a bit wary about that…

Still: You CAN read an ePub file by getting Calibre or Google Books on your laptop, so all is not lost! 🙂

Yeah the headache is down to eyesight problems rather than a physical ailment.

My optician has closed so I’ve had to find a new one and it’ll be October before I can get new glasses… 😦

Love and hugs to you too my sweet friend! 🙂

    • I knew you’d get here first…your so loyal. Actually, I’ve thought of make a page just for you!…what do you think about that, Prenin?

I downloaded the Calibre from C-Net but still have to look it over. Apparenty is came with a bunch of other garbage that I had to remove from my computer.
I haven’t figured out how the Google Books thing works, though….Do you know?

Double vision must give you some busting headaches, Prenin. I hope you can get that problem fixed.

Sounds nice hun – a home from home! 🙂

I don’t know about Calibre, OR Google Books so I guess you’re on your own – Sorry! 😦

I guess I’ll have to wait until October when I get my new glasses.

Today it isn’t bothering me for some reason…

    Second Comment!!! 🙂

Yeah it was a full day for me – having made so many friends at church has given me a new lease on life! 🙂

I agree hun, but I’m free of pain most of the time apart from if I stand too long or walk too far.

This lady has an inoperable tumour which is pressing on her left lung, so her time is short.

If I could just touch her and heal her I would, but the only one I know who could do that got crucified…

I understand that cancer is bad, really bad, but that does not make the pain in your joints hurt any less….now where is that oil can? If you find it, I could use a little too in my knees and right elbow. 🙂

      Love and squishy hugs! 🙂

Yes it was a bit of a bad day, but I was ready for it! 🙂

It’s a good idea to keep a small reserve for emergencies, but now Doug knows I keep a contingency fund I’ve had to tell him I’m broke.

He got his sick pay OK apparently, but has not repaid me so I gave him the last of my painkillers and told him I have nothing left to give him – besides, the damned things are addictive and I do better with Lemsips which are for colds and flu and can be bought from the Co-Op without having to go through my doctor every time I need them! 🙂

Yes, I have enough food to last the two weeks, thank goodness!

I also have £80 for bread and milk because I didn’t buy luxury foods so I am in good shape for now! 🙂

Tomorrow I have to go get bread and milk from the Co-Op, but also I have to let Doug use my phone to beg for his final loan from the DHSS.

Apparently he can’t sign on any more because he sent the staff at the Job Centre a nasty letter – he is a control freak who was losing control to the authorities so he fought back and shot himself in the foot! 😦

He has not got his rent and his benefits have been stopped, so he has only his sick pay left and that won’t arrive for a week.

It is only a matter of time before he loses his home…

We’ve had a lot of fog here too, but also there’s a wind coming off the Baltic so we’re looking at -14’C over the next week apparently.

I doubt of we’ll get that cold for very long, but they’ve been stocking up on salt to keep the roads open.

We get this kind of weather so rarely that when it DOES happen everything grinds to a halt…

Thanks for the visit and comment! 🙂

You are right about Doug – he’s gone from begging to dropping hints and suggesting that, as he has money to come, maybe I might volunteer to help him out, but I’m not dumb enough to fall for it!

First he tells me he’s quit drinking, then starts going on about buying a drink so he can handle the paperwork and the trip to the doctor’s surgery to get a copy of his sick note and a two week extension…

Yeah Red is something else! 🙂

Without her the stories would have remained on my hard drive and would have never seen the light of day! 🙂

The editing was a bit weird because we weren’t always reading from the same hymn sheet, but she has an amazing mind and in the end it all worked out! 🙂

Thanks hun – I feel part excited and part terrified! LoL!!!

Maybe once a few sell and it goes into hard copy I’ll relax – I plan on giving away a dozen signed copies!!! 🙂

    • Oh boy, sounds like you in for a fun weekend. I hope you won’t have much if any clean-up of it though.
Yes, I enjoyed the show very much, as I always do. Tonight is the one hour show called, “Main Event,” which is also WWE. That will be on 8pm to 9pm.
My chips and chocolates were good, just not enough. But the choices as you know would be watch how much you eat and stay in descent shape, or pig out on all one wants and look like a cow. I don’t want to that, so I only have small snacks, especially if its that type of junk food.

Just got new glasses today, and am having a time of it getting adjusted to them, but that should clear up in a day or so. I can see distant very well and reading something in my hand like a book or package, but looking at the computer monitor is not so easy…still very blurry. I wear bifocals but actually need trifocals, but it was way out of my financial reach.

Thanks for calling by, my friend! 🙂

I could just eat something yummy but I am watching my weight a bit now and need to lose about half a stone to ten pounds I think, so not a lot to lose it is just getting it done without eating all the goodies 🙂 Mmmm

Yep: I had to go get my meds and needed a taxi as usual as the Medical Centre is on the far side of town.

We had about four inches of snow overnight and it was treacherous underfoot so I almost landed on my well padded posterior on the way to the car!

The side roads were deadly for lack of salting, but the main roads were clear if a little icy in places!

Still: Traffic drove at 20mph so there were no accidents on the way! 🙂

Once we reached the Medical Centre I had to slip-slide my way to the pharmacy and they had a whole new staff of young women, all of whom were very pretty which made the trip worthwhile! 🙂

Once I had the Gaviscon and my meds I slithered back to the car and my new Asian driver got me home in good time and in one piece! 🙂

His English was average, but we had a good chat and we chilled out on the way home! 🙂

      • Hi hun! 🙂

The reason we’re getting flooding is that the ground is sodden after months of heavy rain.

It runs off into the rivers, but they overflow so hundreds of homes and businesses end up with muddy water flooding into them! 😦

Last year was the second wettest on record and nearly made it to number one!

Now we have lying snow all over the country and tonight we’re expecting more rain, so it’s one huge mess…

Yeah the rain has stopped for the moment, but we have another bout of wind and rain headed our way.

Lord knows we don’t need it with the flooding and everything, but as long as the jet stream has a kink in it it’s going to suck those storms straight at us…

Just had to save Doug’s sorry ass.

The stupid bastard had a garbage fire in his living room!!!

The place was thick with smoke, his 90 decibel smoke alarm was beeping like crazy and Doug was asleep in his bedroom, too drunk to function.

The fire is out and all his windows are open, but he was happy pulling the ‘pity me’ routine about how his life had gone to pot because he broke his arm.

He bruised his shoulder falling out of bed two months ago… 😦

Now I’m coughing my guts up because I had to eat smoke getting his windows open and Doug is happily puffing on a cigarette bemoaning his fate.

Needless to say his flat is wall to wall garbage because he couldn’t be bothered cleaning up…

He also tried to hint about borrowing more money, but I ignored it.

  36. Hi hun! 🙂

Actually, judging from the pile of ash, it looks like he set fire to some paper in a plastic bin, then went to bed and passed out about 7am.

I entered his flat at 7.50am to find thick smoke, a 90 decibel smoke alarm going nuts and Doug fast asleep in his bed!

The fire TRIED to spread, but petered out before it could do some serious damage Thank God!

I don’t want to rat on him – he’s got an illegal flick knife and is unpredictable – but I may just have to!

The fact is he needs help, but the system is against him and as long as he’s classed as sane he has no hope of getting help…

For garbage read ‘everything made of paper’ plus cushions and empty plastic booze bottles so you need footwear to stop you stepping on something!

He’s not as bad as Darrell was – you can still see SOME of the floor – but there’s an old pool of dried vomit covered by a small rug so, yes, the place DID smell a bit.

Thanks to the smoke though you can’t smell anything here except burning…

    Love and worried hugs!

    Prenin.

    • For the sake of your safety and your neighbors the landlord really should know about his. If you talk to the landlord and express that you don’t want your name mentioned in any way at all. They could maybe say they can smell it in the hall, and they just might be able to if they were in the hall. Surely there is a way for the landlord to know without Doug finding out you made any mention of it. Doing the right thing is not usually an easy thing to do. But it’s the right thing….for all of your safety.

I get the impression he was trying to find a way to stay warm in his flat from what you described, but I’m only speculating.
He could have suffocated him self while he was sleeping from the smoke. That’s how most people die in fires. They usually doe from suffocation from smoke before they burn.

That last sentence you wrote me is your ticket to cover your ass if you let the landlord know…the smell cant be hidden.

Don’t worry, just do something to prevent this from happening again in the future, my friend.

Love and hugs, and now very concerned for your well being and safety!

      • We’re lucky that these flats are built of concrete and brick so fires are contained in their point of origin, but as you said: Smoke is the killer! 😦

I’ll report it at 9am (It’s 8.46am here) and see what the housing manager has to say.

Doug is already in danger of losing his flat because he’s lost rent payments in the past due to the DHSS stopping his benefits for not signing on in time, BUT he’s got gangster connections and that damned flick knife so I don’t want to end up on the receiving end! 😦

Thing is that he sold me to his gangster friends last year who sold me on to the investigative journalists and he also took part.

It amazes me that the journalists were willing to work with criminals to get to me, but it all came to nothing yet again…

        Anyway that’s secondary!

If I report it maybe they’ll get Doug some help – frankly he needs it! 😦

Yes, I saved a life Wednesday, but nearly didn’t because I assumed the smoke alarm was toast related given the time it went off!!! 😦

My delay could have meant his death unfortunately – I guess we were both lucky it didn’t spread!!! 😦

Doug’s boozing is out of control unfortunately, but if we get him some help then he’ll be OK.

He should never has been kicked off incapacity, but the government was on a mission to reduce the cost of benefits, claiming one million users were there because Labour were massaging the unemployment figures by putting older unemployed people on Incapacity Benefit.

Unfortunately that’s what the Conservatives did when Maggie and the Grey Major were in power.

Now we have events like these happening as those who should never have been taken off incapacity end up killing themselves by accident or design…

I tried to wake him twice, but he didn’t answer the door so I gave up on him! 😦

He has the bags for the trash, I gave him them on Friday, with the housing manager and social services due Monday.

If he DOESN’T clean up his place he’ll be kicked out and he knows it, but Doug is an expert at picking the wrong fight! 😦

    Basically he’s a control freak.

He tries to dominate you and take over your life, but it didn’t work with me, which is why he had to worm his way back into my life!

I’ve done all I can for him and if he wants to screw up his life then that’s HIS problem!

There’s been no problem with the local kids tonight, but I lost that new filling I was given when I cleaned my teeth.

Looks like a major drilling session and a whole new filling next time…

    Thank GOD it’s free!!!

    • Trying to dominate is what alcoholics do, Prenin.
If he knows he will loose his place if he doesn’t clean it up and does not clean it up, then that is his problem….not yours. Honestly, Prenins, if our landlords told us we had to do something we’d just do it and not expect someone else to fix our problem.
If he’s a control freak, and he’s managing to control you by you being over worried about him, then he has you right where he wants you…to fix his life. Let him fix his own life…it may sober him up, if not, well that is his problem too.

I’m sorry about your tooth, lets hope the next one takes well and stays put for a good long time. Keep me posted on that. And yes,it’s good you don’t have to pay for that, since dental can be very expensive.

I got a call from the housing manager at RBH.

The Social Services intervention team and the housing manager will be here on Wednesday between 12pm and 1pm so I can let them in.

All I have to do then is get Doug to let them in and if he messes around with THEM as he tried to do with Debbie last time, then he’s in for a rude awakening! 🙂

After all he’s done to me it’s amazing how he keeps trying to worm his way back into my life, but this time he’s on his own! 😦

The tooth has been drilled out and a large plastic filling inserted at 3pm and I couldn’t eat until 7pm so dinner went down VERY well!!! 😛

No worries! Real Life Happens!!! 🙂

He cleaned up his place and it looks better, but he hasn’t improved any – he didn’t even want to phone the DHSS for a crisis loan, so I had to go get him.

He got £30 to last until he sees the doctor and is spending most of it on booze.

He managed to beg £1 off me – it was a pitiable exercise as he went from borrowing £10 to £1 over yesterday until the evening when I gave him a handful of silver coins – then asked if he could use my phone to call the DHSS to get his loan.

He’s now OK for the next few days, but once the booze runs out he’ll be back.

I keep telling him I have nothing to borrow and he keeps wheedling away trying to make me feel sorry for him until he gets the smallest amount possible and uses that as leverage to get me to let him use my phone because he has nothing thanks to his drinking… 😦

He’s now also admitted to drug use, specifically cannabis and Ketamine which is a horse tranquilliser.

He also cursed me for saving his life as he said he prays every night that he doesn’t wake up.

    Frankly he’s an ingrate… 😦

Hey Deb we don’t mind you taking some time out but don’t be away for too long or Fraz will be tucking into your share of these chocolate crumpets I brought over, we are going to have a choco picnic later so don’t forget to bring your napkin and Wombie party hat 🙂 Oh and there is going to be some special treats on offer so get ready for those 🙂 xxx

  55. Hi Debs, just caught your comment! 🙂

Not much has happened apart from a friend told me that Doug sold me to the Ward gangster family who sold me to the investigative journalists, which is why they came back and are still trying to tempt me into doing the unthinkable.

After what happened in church with Mark I know he’s taking part and it explains all of Doug’s weird behaviour over the past two years.

Unfortunately my God daughter’s family also took part, so I’m a bit short of friends at the moment even though I passed all the tests with flying colours! 😦

There’s something uniquely disturbing about the whole series of events, some very sick minds obviously at work, but all I can do is wait for them to give up and walk away.

No matter what happens though, Doug is now dead to me – and that takes a lot as you can probably guess… 😦

    Love and hugs!

What all happened to you because of this, Prenin? Should I be worried about you? God Lord, look at the questions I asked…sorry about that. I just hope you are safe in your home and when you go out to take care of your business.
If you mean he’s dead to you now, I’m glad to hear it. I knew he was bad news for you, Prenin just from the things you’ve shared with us.

      • Hi hun! 🙂

It’s been an ongoing thing apparently for the past two years at least.

It explains his behaviour and attempts to get me into a homosexual relationship – all of which failed as I am not gay and he’s no oil painting! 🙂

Apparently if I could be proven to be gay then that would explain the injuries I suffered as a child.

Needless to say it fell flat! 🙂

It also explains me being set up with baby William.

I thought I had been honoured by Emily’s trust in me to look after him unattended while she dressed Isabella for gymnastics – apparently I was under close watch, but passed with flying colours.

Last time I went to church Mark acted out of character, so I left him to it.

Could this have been another set-up?

        Probably.

Doug made a big point of questioning me as to why I rarely leave my home, so I told him about the Mallinsons, the three lads and their friends who tried to drive me out of my home.

One of their friends, a teenage druggies runner, even held me at gunpoint.

I got the Police involved though and they backed off – the Police at least have faith in me!!! 🙂

It is supremely ironic that I have a Criminal Records Bureau Advanced Check Certificate that clears me to work with the elderly, disabled, vulnerable adults and children with an absolutely pristine criminal record, yet I have friends (most with criminal records, or current criminal careers) selling me to the investigative journalists.

All I can do is wait for them to get bored and walk away, like they did the last time sixteen years ago.

I have been raped twice in my life: Once by my abuser and again by the Police, Press and Media.

        Love and hugs!

Yeah the government here is trying to fix the economy on the backs of the poor while protecting the rich! 😦

I have savings (Shhh!!! Don’t tell Doug! LoL!!!) for emergencies and I deliberately overpaid my rent so I can have a three month rent holiday if things get tough, but I’m not sure when I’ll face a review, the new PIP payments coming on the 8th of April, so it could be any time after that.

The housing manager put a letter through his door because he refused to answer his door, but what was on it I don not know as yet! 😦

Losing weight is a bit of a slow process! 😦

I’m down to 105Kg, but I need to lose another 7Kg – the equivalent of seven bags of sugar! 😦

It’s made harder by the medication which promotes appetite, slows your metabolism, makes you gain weight, grow breasts and shuts down your sex drive, effectively neutering you.

Not surprisingly the doctors won’t put me on Abilify because Olanzapine costs £5,000 per year and Abilify costs £25,000 per year.

They squeeze the pennies while I turn into an hermaphrodite… 😦

Yes, it’s been a very cold Spring!!! 😦

The equinox is on Thursday and our clocks go forward an hour, but as I write we are having yet another snow shower, although it is too warm to stay Thank God! 🙂

Two thirds of the UK are covered in deep, drifting, snow and thousands are without electricity so rescue centres have been created to shelter hundreds of people who are at risk from the cold.

Cattle and sheep are dying in the hundreds and we’re in the middle of lambing season so the poor things are dying at birth, the Ewes unable to protect them and the farmers unable to reach them because the roads are impassable.

This is one heartbreaking time for everyone. 😦

Where I am the snow has melted, so the streets and highways are clear, but there’s an icy Easterly wind so it is hard to stay warm.

I’m lucky because I budgeted for a hard winter, but many are not so able to pay their way and are having to make the hard choice between heating and eating. 😦

Stay warm my friend – the experts say these strange weather patterns are because of global warming, an event long warned of which the Politicians chose to ignore.

They also ignored the warnings about the hole in the ozone layer when I was a child in a magazine called Omni and now there are holes at both poles…

Given that I have routinely had death threats hurled at me in the street, been held at knife point (I told him to put it away or I’d make him eat it!) and even gun point (I called him a tosser and ignored him!) as well as having had my windows broken on a regular basis as they tried to drive me out I can only agree! 😦

Tony is out of here on Monday, but borrowed £5 off me for drink for him and Doug as Doug’s money hasn’t gone into his Bank account again.

Tony hands his door keys in on Monday and that’ll be one worry less!

I was watching the news when the gunfight was reported and witnesses gave their ‘take’ on the experience including one guy who nearly increased the body count when a bullet passed through his wall, a calendar and the head rest of his chair before coming to rest on the floor!

Then I raced for a while and went back to the news program in time for the second brother to be caught and arrested.

He’s nineteen years old and will spend the rest of his days in prison for his act of evil.

Yes, shopping done for this fortnight, but next time who knows?

I got the form to fill in from the Department of Work and Pensions sent by ATOS Healthcare, a private company, which will decide if I remain on benefits, or if I’ll be kicked off.

It’ll be three months before I know my fate, so I’m stressing out BIG TIME as they are being paid by results – meaning I could be kicked off benefits and be expected to find a job in a market where even the healthy can’t get jobs so that ATOS get paid.

Doug knocked on to borrow back a pound her recently repaid me ‘for a loaf of bread’.

In his shopping bag he had a newspaper and a bottle of cider… 😦

He said that Tony the heroin addict left for his new home owing Doug £17 and me £16.40.

Apparently he got his new home in Rochdale so as to be closer to his dealer, telling the social services he was being persecuted by the local teenagers.

Oddly neither I or Doug had noticed anyone persecuting him, so it looks he lied to get preferential treatment.

Still: He’s gone and now I just have Doug to contend with.

According to Tony, Doug told him I was a paedophile, while Doug told me Tony had a large amount of heroin in his flat.

Looks like Doug was trying to sew discord between me and Tony, but it didn’t work.

Still: I know Doug well enough now to know he is one sick guy… 😦

Oh how I pray I win the lottery! 🙂

With all the uncertainty about my benefits which could take three months to be processed the only thing I have left to hope for is that I hit the jackpot and never have to worry about money ever again! 🙂

Shopping was stressful, but I managed and I’m hoping I manage to get to church on Sunday as it may be the last time if I lose my benefits as I’ll have to sign onto Job Seeker’s Allowance and try to find a job.

It’s been sixteen years since I last had to hunt for a job and my skills are obsolete, but I do have basic computer literacy skills including the ability to touch type which I’m using right now! 🙂

Maybe if they sign me onto a training course I’ll be able to find a job of some kind, but that is a worry for the future as nothing is determined yet! 🙂

Yes, I could do with a new bathroom, the old one looks like a disaster area!!! 😦

Shopping was fun for a change and I got it all done with no hassles! 🙂

Atos, the private company doing the evaluations, has been repeatedly reported in the press for unfair practices and unethical behaviour resulting in some dreadful miscarriages of justice and questions have been asked in the house of commons, but the government wants fewer people on benefits, so if you can walk from your kitchen to your living room, or can dress yourself, then they consider you fit for work.

I am one very frightened Prenin, because my medication will prevent me doing anything involving machinery and I can’t lift and carry because of my joints, so manual labour is out, I can’t drive and I’m not pretty enough for office work.

Unfortunately I’ll still be getting a letter to tell me to go to the Job Centre for an interview to see what job or voluntary work I can do, (apparently both are unpaid, just my benefits) so I’m not out of the woods yet! 😦

Still: One hurdle overcome and I can breath a little easier!

There’s a second change going to be happening in a few months time when the Government will switch all benefits into a Universal Credit system where all monies will go into one pot which will pay out Monthly, so I have to prepare for that!

Thankfully I have prepared for disaster and now I have room to breath! 🙂

Remember how I kicked Doug into touch?

He’s back begging and pleading like never before and posting more notes through my door!

He borrowed £5 until tomorrow and if I don’t get it back he’ll get no more! 😦

You should see him hun: Unwashed, ragged clothes, drunk most of the time and now expecting me to cook his food for him, but I ignored him!

I got the shopping done OK and had no dramatic moments apart from the shopping centre being full of kids because it’s a holiday.

Nerve racking to put it mildly, but there was no trouble and I got Emma and Michael at ‘Iceland’ on the checkout so it was good to be with people I knew! 🙂

The temptation to buy alcohol was high, but I did my celebrating and it’s fruit juice from now on! 🙂

I got the paperwork through from Atos and I have to wait for an appointment to go to an interview at the Job Centre to see if they can find me work that won’t stress me out, but that may take some time!

I’m really worried about my God daughter’s father: He was attacked by four lads and suffered a stroke, but now he’s due at Atos to be reviewed.

Since then he’s been a bag of nerves so God knows if he’ll be able to work!

He’s a big man and cocky with it, but this near-death experience has badly affected him.

Even selling his services to the media in order to set me up hasn’t worked out as he expected, so all he has is his savings to get by on.

Thank you Deb, actually I have been out making another video, well to be honest I was supposed to be doing some shopping but it was just too hot today so I ended up sat in the car under some trees, it was the only shade that I could find but very pleasant too 🙂

I’m over the worst of it, Thank God! 🙂

Sometimes things get so bad all I want to do is crawl into bed and make the world go away… 😦

What hurts the most is the feeling of repeated betrayal by those I gave my life to serving and parasites like Doug who will do anything for money.

There’s been no sign of him for the past few days for which I am very grateful! 🙂

The weather is cold and clear, so tomorrow will see bright sunshine which I am quite looking forward to!!! 🙂

According to Andy our trouble teens who made our lives hell for over 20 years are now congregating in the wealthy part of town, Alkrington, and have a steady source of cannabis and alcohol, so they won’t be back for a while! 🙂

Yes, I’ll be glad when I can get new glasses, but that’s months away (sigh!).

Oh IF ONLY I could win!!! LoL!!!

Right now I’m getting less money since they rearranged the benefits system so I’m going to have to be able to use a little less wriggle room.

We have had a few warm days, but there’s a belt of rain in the south of the country that’s heading our way.

We’ve been told to expect heavy showers overnight and some thunder storms.

Remember how I refused to give Doug any more money?

First he asked to use my phone because they’ve stopped his benefits again – he missed an appointment with a job creation agency – and used it to get sorted, then he gave me one big sob story about how poorly his legs are and how he can’t walk far, but I didn’t fall for it and didn’t offer to lend him the money he wanted.

So he gave it ten minutes, knocked on and begged – I’m not overstating it here – for £3 so he could get some cider and matches.

I told him I was broke when he tried the first time, but he was happy to take £2.70 in loose change off me and told me he will take out his last £5 from his Bank account and pay me back with that.

At this rate he’ll be homeless in six months.

Just in time for winter… 😦

Anyway: Despite being so crippled he cannot walk to the Job Centre he found more than enough strength in his legs to walk to the off licence to buy his cider…

It is 12 copies of Jabberweil Hunt and 12 copies of Songs of Angels which I’m giving to mum and my friends – even Pat and her family because Pat and I have birthdays in July and we celebrate together! 🙂

It cost me just over $127 for the books as well as postage and packing, so well worth it! 🙂

Needless to say I’m taking the bragging rights – none of my family are writers! 🙂

The pain killers I have are over-the-counter pills which are good enough for helping me sleep, but only ease the pain when I’m out and about to a point I can function – they still hurt though.

In the end I got used to the aches from shopping and keep my time in town as brief as possible.

Once back I can relax and wait for it to ease.

My problems are worse just lately because I relaxed my diet and put on a kilo of weight (2.2Lbs) which is a no no!!! 😦

      • You won’t like this – I didn’t – so I took a clip from Tom’s blog comment and all rights are his!!!

        Here’s the clip.

Apparently, we in the UK have been blocked from accessing WordPress servers due to a blog that someone had created that had infringed WordPress’ terms of service and had been flagged by the Internet Watch Foundation.

Problem found, and with things getting back to normal, access should greatly improve over the next few days and steps are being taken to ensure this type of problem doesn’t happen again.

There was a similar glitch last year, so only time will tell, but for now all we can do is move forward.

        End clip.

And that’s all we know at the moment! 😦

It must be pretty bad to cause such an extreme reaction by WordPress and the IWF… 😦

Thanks for the visit and comment!!! 🙂

I’m back to (almost) normal, but the medication hit me harder than I expected after my going cold Turkey for a couple of days.

Normally I’d just sleep and wake after eight hours, but this time I was still heavily drugged from 6pm Saturday to 11.31am Sunday.

There can be no doubt any more.

    I’m addicted. 😦

Hopefully I’ll take the next dose at 5pm and sleep normally, getting up at a reasonable hour.

This ‘Interview’ I’ve been threatened into taking is weighing heavily on my mind.

If I could hold down a job I’d be looking for work myself already as the money I’m living on leaves no room for luxuries unless I budget very carefully, but the Government wants to cut the Benefits bill by ‘Empowering’ people on benefits by cutting their income to the point they’ll take any job offered.

Unfortunately there are over two million able bodied people unable to find work as I write, so what chance would I have??? 😦

Pat promised to go with me so Monday I’ll remind her and see if she’s still good to go.

I have been waiting for a call from Paul to say he’s coming to sort out my PC, but so far there’s been nothing.

Looks like I’ll have to do it myself with help from the Talk Talk help line.

Tomorrow I have to go get my next batch of meds and some pain killers as I’m running low.

I used to get them on prescription, but they were giving me three months supply every month until I had enough to kill me several times over.

Doug kept begging them off me, saying his doctor wouldn’t give him enough to last the month, but he stopped asking when I told him I had none left.

Now he can’t get money or medication off me he has stopped bothering me and I’ve heard nothing off him for a week or two.

Ironic: He was the only person around here who visited and only when he wanted something!

I hate how I feel right now, but the next dose should fix me up.

Monday as well as the medication I think I’ll get my lottery tickets.

It’s going to be raining so best to get both jobs done.

Wish I could afford a decent drink, but money is short, so maybe just as well… 🙂

Love and squishy hugs sweetheart! 🙂

I will be praying with all my heart that things turn out in your favor.
It would be nice if your doctor would write something out that said you can’t work.

I know Doug is the only one that visited around there. But with company like him, who needs enemies. You don’t need him. Your a better person than that and deserve to be treated with respect. Your a very kind person. If I were out there I’d come visit with you just to talk about whatever and enjoy a frozen dinner with you. Or I’d bring some dinner over and we could watch something on TV or play a Play Station game together. Those are the kind of friends you need to look for, not ones that only want to use you for what they can get out of you.

I know it not as nice of blog to use, but maybe compared to what your going through now it may be refreshing. If you do, all you have to do it one more post on your current blog letting your followers know where your new blog is. Yep: Pat was a Godsend! 🙂

I opted for Star Wars cartoons and Eurovision 2010 which passed the time nicely! 🙂

The interview was better than I expected, Kathryn turning out to be an Angel with a trainee at her side.

The system demands a lot of me though: I have to have a phone interview with my support worker (Kathryn) next month and I had to phone my Doctor to get support because I’m struggling to function at times.

I’m so afraid of new people it’s going to be hard for me, but I have to allow a new person into my life… 😦

Dinner is now cooked and cooling as I write, but I feel a bit rough so I’m hoping to have a nap later.

As I write we’re in between monsoon showers, so the umbrellas definitely earned their keep!!! 🙂

I don’t think you’ll have any problem, especially since your a bundle of nerves around new people. Just don’t tell them that. Let them think what they want. They’ll likely think your just nervous around all people. Which you are sometimes, so just let it be.
I’ll keep praying though. Just in case. One thing about prayers…they never expire!

Yes I made it part way.

I tried to get a support worker, but I have to rely on doctor Jiva to refer me to the mental health team.

This despite him sending me from pillar to post on a wild goose chase when I asked him for help! 😦

Now I have to wait and see if he does his job… 😦

What a day I was having on Friday?

    Too Right!!! 😦

Doug really put the pressure on me and wasn’t happy when I wouldn’t give him any money!

It’s so hard to resist his begging, as a kid ‘No’ wasn’t a word you used, but I stood firm and in the end he left me alone.

Now my sleep pattern is slipping and my freezer needs defrosting, so I am going to get to sleep later than usual and push the clock while taking my meds.

Come shopping day I’m only going to buy fresh produce so I can use up the frozen food and then take care of my freezer.

I just hope I spend enough to get free delivery. 🙂

    Love and squishy hugs!

    Prenin.

    • Well, the more you say “no,” the easier it will be. And the more he hears it, the less often he’ll come around begging.

Sleep is so important. I had my sleepless bout not too long ago…I worked me over in a bad way.

If you don’t spend enough for free delivery get more of something you need to make it happen. Some produce that last pretty well, like carrots of something.

Doug is on a Kamikaze kick at the moment.

He’s a control freak and he is losing control rapidly, so rather than play the game he’s decided to smash up all his stuff so they get nothing when he’s evicted.

It doesn’t need to happen, but he refuses to play the game… 😦

The new computer has required over 200 updates for windows 8 so far, but is working pretty well! 🙂

Yeah Doug did surprise me! 😦

A couple of hours later he asked for £1.15 so he could get some food as he’s out of money.

He knew I had money because I’d just got back from shopping, so I couldn’t deny that I had any.

Needless to say he came back with a bottle of cider… 😦

He has so screwed up his life that eviction is now inevitable, but there’s no way he’s going to be living with me, although he has been dropping hints in between talking about what he’s going to do to his flat when they DO evict him.

He also claims he’s going to go to Othen house and smash all the windows in the Job Centre part of the building with a hammer.

I doubt if he will – he’s all mouth and no trousers – but it makes life stressful… 😦

To make matters worse he’s acting as the eyes and ears of my tormentors so I owe him no favours!

Ironic that I am the only person he knows who was willing to help him and in return he has betrayed me in the worst way possible… 😦

I’d be worried, but he’s been threatening to kill himself for a couple of years now yet he’s still breathing… 😦

All I can do is wait for him to actually do something, then I can get the emergency services involved and get him the help he has been refusing for fear of losing control of his life.

To be honest he’s gone too far to be rescued unless he crosses the line, so all I can do is wait and see… 😦

God has plans for Doug I’m sure – perhaps as a warning to others… 😉

Yep: I’m good for a few days now, but it means I don’t have any social interaction – especially now I’m sleeping weird hours again! 🙂

I thought about going to church, but I’m short of cash until I save up the money I spent on the new PC, which is a fantastic machine incidentally, but Windows 8 is not as good as I’d like – and I can’t access my backup email address which was on Outlook Express…

    • If he looses his flat, it’s his own fault for spending his money on drink instead of saving it for rent like the rest of us have to do. He will can either become homeless, get help in a facility, end up in jail, or kill himself drinking. Any of those are his choice. But taking him in is just another green light for him to keep doing what he’s doing, except he would take you down with him…don’t let him talk you into staying with you.

You know you have my support if it gets down to his begging. I’m right here, and you have my email.

God knows you went to church within yourself.

Really, that’s strange. I hate glitches.

      • You are right of course.

Doug has no rent because he picked a fight with the benefits people and was escorted out of the job centre and was given a three month ban.

He COULD have applied for his benefits by mail, but chose not to, so they were stopped and so his rent isn’t being paid.

As I’ve mentioned in the past, he’s a control freak.

He tried to control me in the past, but I rejected it and now he has nobody and no-one to turn to…

There’s NO WAY I’d let him stay here, but you can bet he’ll try to get his foot in the door.

His last request for money was thick with desperation.

He said it was for food, but came back with a bottle of cheap cider.

The glitch is that there isn’t a version of Outlook Express in WIndows 8 so I can’t access my backup email address.

I only use it in case Hotmail stops working, but so far Hotmail has been fine! 🙂

Doug knocked on my door at about 5.20pm to use my phone, but had lost his sister’s number.

He then tried to get me to give him £2 for a bottle, but I told him I was broke – and for the first time since I’ve known him he accepted it!

He’s now walking to Royton and we have heavy rain due at any minute, so he’s going to be one wet bunny by the time he gets there.

I should also point out that he has been complaining for months about having bad legs and claimed he couldn’t walk to the shop, yet managed to get there and back when he needed a drink.

He will have to walk three miles which will take a good two hours.

The cue/review was what ate the tape, so as long as I sit through the adverts instead of fast forwarding them it works OK.

The bad news is that I can no longer get video tapes from the local stores and will have to order them online from Amazon which is where I got the last batch.

Because I needed a new PC it will be nine months before I can afford to spend any money and I have about a month’s supply of tapes left.

Oh to win the lottery! 😦

I COULD dig deeper into my reserve, but this week I blew more money than I could afford on a year’s supply of vitamins because they were on half price offer, as well as more food than usual and extras, so I should have a cheaper shopping trip next time around.

Until then I can’t afford to spend anything on extras.

Right now I don’t have the money to cover this fortnight’s essentials like bread, milk and lottery tickets and my bills as well, which I just paid for this month, but I’m OK for now so no worries! 🙂

Next fortnight I should be able to make up the difference, but it means no alcohol which won’t be a bad thing! 🙂

Don’t worry though: I’ve managed through worse! 🙂

The benefits I get don’t come to a great deal, but I have learned to manage on less… 🙂
