Flash: Busboy

thumbnailSandy, a regular stopped in for a hamburger. All but a bite or two finished she gets up and leaves.
The busboy, begins to clear her table, once again does not see a tip, so spat on the food out of anger.
Sandy returned from the lavatory and told the busboy, “I’m sorry, I’m not done eating yet.”
The busboy leaves. She finishes her meal, decides it tasted better than ever and leaves a tip.

Flash: Sommelier

wineAfter Elizabeth had made her white wine choice, Charles, the Sommelier returned to her table with it, and waited for her to taste it.
Charles, seeing that she is pleased filled her glass half way, while saying, “I certainly do hope we get a white Christmas this year.”
Elizabeth takes a drink then replied, “Thank you Charles, I’ve been dreaming of a white Christmas too, but if the white runs out, I’ll drink the red.

Flash in the Pan: Reservations

4666834215_072914d8d4_z“Just about ready to go. Did you make the reservations, Franklin?”
“We don’t need them.”
“Oh, how uncouth,” as Judith turned from the mirror, then back again.
“Yes. Now enough primping. You look fine. Let’s go!”
Sidney, the chauffeur, opened the door to the limousine, helped both of them in and off they drove.
Arriving at their destination, they entered Walmart for the first time in their snobby lives to see what they’ve been missing.

Flash in the Pan: Diner

diner
Helen always worried about Max dieing,
mostly because she was dependent on his social security,
though she loved him very much.
Max assured her she’d do fine with the old diner.
Eventually he had passed away,
and Helen was still getting by.
One afternoon she closed early to restock the freezer.
She wanted to make sure she was keeping
her dead husband well hidden from Social Security
so she could keep collecting his monthly check.
