Arizona Dust Storm

Arizona Sunset_Show it in 2013

Every part of the country has their share of bad weather. Arizona is notorious for dust storms, forest fires and their summer monsoon season. Where the dust storm out in the desert may be just something pretty to look at, it is no picnic when it hits the cities.

Mountains of the southwest of America

Saguaro Cactus and Sunset

Those of you that know me, know I’ve lived in the southwest for a number of years…make that, many years. So it should not come as a surprise when I tell you I think about it from time to time. After all, I spent most of my life there as of yet. I had married twice, and buried one husband. I had my two son’s there. I still have family there.  Anyway, prior to painting this, and during I was thinking about the very large Saguaro Cactus. I hope you like it.

Southwestern Desert

Having had lived in the southwest for most of my life, I was having some fond memories of the beautiful desert I had once resided. I thought,  “A painting of my memory of it is  in order.”
