Landscape charcoal drawing © 2015

This is the first charcoal drawing I’ve done in 2 years. It’s sort of a warm-up. I do have a concern of the mess that charcoal makes since I no longer have a basement to do my work in. I find charcoal to be my best medium, yet I fear the mess it could make in the house. I’m going to have to see what I can put on the walls in front and the side of my drawing table. If you have any ideas for that I’m open for suggestions

  1. Well it looks really good, Deb! I have no suggestions for your problem, though. Maybe you could google that. A lot of artists who use charcoal must have the same problem.

  2. I always loved your charcoal work and this one is no exception. Love it

  3. If this is a warm up, Deb, I can’t imagine how perfect the next charcoal drawing will be! This is really beautiful! xoxo

  4. Perhaps easy wipe drawing surface painted, varnished, laminated and 2 inch molding rim around 3 sides and side facing you put 2 inch molding like a chalk board dust collector at base. Or switch to oil pastel crayons, become a sculptor or novelist.

  5. It’s very beautiful.
