Flash in the Pan: Fork

cooking-wifeAfter a full day of tending to the baby, Marla was exhausted.
Dinners in the oven, so she set the table, put out chilled wine, and candles.
“Bob will be home soon, I better change.” she thought.
Slipping into her new practical dress she remembered the earrings Bob gave her for her birthday and put them on. “Perfect, now to get the meat on the table.”
As she lights the candles she heared the door.
“I’m home!”
“Hello Bob, how was your day?”
“Hectic,” as he kissed her then sat down at the table.
“Dinner looks great, Marla, and so do you.”
“Mmm, the meat is delicious, and so tender I can cut it with a fork.” he mentions after he took a few bites.
“So how was your day Marla?”
“Tiring, but accomplished,”
“Was the baby good?”
“Mostly quiet.”
“That’s great! Where’s our baby now?”
“Your eating it, Bob.”

  1. Oh my God! Deb! *insert scream of horror*

    That was brilliant!

I wonder if she then laughs at his look of horror and says “I’m joking! She’s asleep” or “Moves gracefully up to him and slits his throat”..lol
