The bedroom was so profoundly quiet she could hear the rhythm of her heart beating. With the sound of each heart beat she became increasingly restless and now, extremely nerved because her cell phone was dead, and wondered when he’d be home since he could not call her. Suddenly her heart grips with fear from the sounding of a door squeak. She hears footsteps! She can’t scream! All at once she hears, “Honey, I’m home!”
