Garden Weed

Garden Weed

It’s important to not only cultivate the ground prior to starting a garden, but during on a regular basis or we end up with back-breaking work or worse yet, a destroyed garden.

This applies to not only in our literal gardens, but in our spiritual garden as well.

I created this watercolor painting last July of 2011.

    • I knew if anyone would get this, you would my brother. You know as well as I do how deceptive the beauty of some weeds can be.

  5. That’s a very nice looking weed. Sometimes the weeds are better than what we’re trying to grow.

    • That’s what so sneaky about a weed. They can look nice, but there not the best thing to let go unattended in a garden.
Glad you like it, Binky…thank you! xo

  7. A weed is merely a plant who has learned everything except how to grow in rows 😉

Lovely thought and lovely flower. I wouldn’t take that one out of my garden if it was growing there. 🙂

    • You might move it if it was choking out the garden. 🙂 😉

  17. Weeds are never ending work. I have to weed our herb garden on the weekend as it’s all weedy again…

  18. I often wish our crops would grow as fast as the weeds, And what a pretty weed… I often look at Dandelions , which push so strongly through the earth even tarmac. And we pull them up.. But in fact Dandelions are one of Natures Pharmacy too.. Each and everything has its purpose even the weeds in life..
Loved your painting Deb.. Enjoy your weekend…. Im away for a time early next week… Take care Sue
