I had some time this afternoon to do a painting since my good ole husband tended to the the neighbors dogs for the second of fours trips over there today. I thinking about all this cold weather coming upon us and it got me to thinking of our up coming trip home, which in turn reminded my of our road trip here and all the beautiful pastures I see along the way. So it’s more of a spring painting.
Watercolors on 140 lb. weight watercolor paper.

Binky
/ October 16, 2011Yes, it looks like a nice pastoral scene. Relaxing and pleasant. It’s still fairly nice here, but winter will be here all too soon.
Debbie Adams
/ October 17, 2011Well… compared to what winter can bring, it’s still nice here too, but the thought of having to deal with snow…
Thanks for the comment on my painting, Binky!

It looks like a paddy rice in Indonesia 🙂
You used such lovely soft color
Debbie Adams
/ October 17, 2011I know, I’ve been rather busy lately with dog sitting and it cut into my art time, among other things.

/ October 16, 2011Very nice painting.Today I checked out ur blog for details on watercoloring… its been ages since i held a brush to paint. You are my inspiration
Debbie Adams
/ October 17, 2011I don’t have a page anywhere at this time on painting with watercolors since I have only started myself last January…Wow, that long already. Just pick up your paint brush and let your inner self take you away. It’s fun…
Thank you for your comment, Hellopalz!

/ October 17, 2011Lovely Spring Painting Deb, and It makes me feel so peaceful inside.. that I’m now leaning against the stone wall, taking a deep, deep breath, and sighing…happily. hugs to you, for such a beautifully captured moment in time. .. xPenx
Debbie Adams
/ October 17, 2011Then this painting was worth painting just for the moments of peacefulness you felt in side, Pen. Thank you for such a lovely comment!

/ October 17, 2011I love looking at scenery. I get in trouble with my wife for watching the scenery too much while I am driving. She never drives so I look while I am driving.
Debbie Adams
/ October 17, 2011You and I live in places that are just too hard to keep our eyes off of it. Most all of it is so beautiful in the country.
My husband likes to do all the driving. He won’t get in anyone else’s vehicle, and in his own, he does the driving…he had a really bad experience 45 years ago.
Hope all goes well for you at the doctor’s office today, Bo.
Thank you for commenting.

/ October 18, 2011That may be a tell tale of me being left handed.
I’m really not looking forward to snow, and really hope we don’t get any at all this year…which is rare case. So I’ll just hope for only a little bit of it.
I do however look forward to getting back home. I’m sure the house sitter has had just about enough too.
Have a wonderful evening, Andro, and thank you for commenting!

/ October 18, 2011Andro!! You remembered that I have cats at home waiting for me. How very thoughtful of you to remember and make mention of them to me.
Yes, I’m sure they have missed us, and will now dis us…corny line, I know. But you know how cats can be…I’ll be talking to their backs for several days till they are done punishing me. It’s will be so good to see them again.
You have a wonderful evening of what is left of it… That is if you are still up, otherwise I hope you have a great day tomorrow.
Hugs,

/ October 18, 2011I like that you chose to use a vertical format with this to accentuate the height of the tree, Deb. You were still able to pull off that incredible amount of depth, also. I think that is difficult with a vertical format. Now you have me thinking. Good one!
Debbie Adams
/ October 18, 2011I think that if I had pulled the tree on the other side of the wall it would have given it even more depth, but I already put the wall up when I realized that. But I learned something from this so I’m happy about that.
Got you thinking? Hmmm… can’t wait to see your next vertical painting. 🙂
Thanks for coming in, Leslie and commenting!

Tony McGurk
/ October 19, 2011Nice scene Deb. The colours you chose give it a real softness, if that makes sense. I know what I mean anyway…
Debbie Adams
/ October 19, 2011Yes, of course you make sense… I understand what you mean. And thank you for it as well, Tony!
I’m glad you like it, Tony… Thank you!

/ October 19, 2011Trees are always so difficult for me to artistically convey. I guess i try to overthink nature and that’s no way to approach it.
Debbie Adams
/ October 19, 2011They’re no picnic for me either. But I look at it like this… All trees are different.
Thanks for commenting, George.

/ October 21, 2011What a pleasant surprise to wake up to this morning to see your comment! And what a lovely thing to share with me Bunny….Thank you so much!
You are an artist too…. it just takes practice. I fall short much of the time when drawing or painting, but learn a little something each time. What is most important is to just have fun doing it.
Thank you for coming and, commenting, Bunny!
