Deer Me

Deer MeWell there is more to the Cape Hatteras Beach than just the beaches… there’s deer too. We’ll see them on our way to the beach, on most mornings. Hubby and I will see deer along the land between NC Hwy 12 and the beach if we leave early enough in the morning.

Watercolor Painting on 140 lb. watercolor paper.

  1. Deer on the beach? Who would’ve thought. We’re having a bit of a deer overpopulation problem in Southern Ontario, too.

Liked the impressionistic background on this one. The deer looks happy to be there.

    • They’re mostly on the patch of land between the highway and the beach, which is not too big of an area.
Thank you for the inspiring comment, Binky!

  2. Love your deer painting. I too have a love, especially the Red Deer in the north of Scotland. You captured this doe beautifully.
