Morning Feed

When I got here at Hatteras the beginning of last month I saw the we had a new neighbor with a lovely new camper. I planned on getting unpacked and welcome whoever it was that lived there, but before I had a chance Charlotte and her lovely dog Sox was already on her way over to welcome us! She is a wonderful woman who is recently widowed (03/31/2011), God Bless her heart. She has been nothing less than a wonderful friend and joy to my life…I love her so much already. She wanted me to paint her something with a beach scene with little birds or ducks in it.

Watercolors on 140 lb. watercolor paper

This one I gave away to my friend Charlotte

  3. What a beautiful scene. I like the way the shore line intersects the page and the blue on the sand from the water. Lovely. Sounds like you are enjoying Hatteras.

    • Thank you Leslie, I had to use both marine blue and ultramarine blue for the water. And as you know, wet in wet for the sand. Thank you for you lovely comment, Leslie!
