I know what your thinking, “not another pile of rocks by the water, she just did one of these.” Still having my mind on summer to take my mind off all this cold weather I thought I would practice rocks and water again with these oil pastels. For those of you that know me know this medium is new to me so I hope you bear with me as I post these for one day I’ll be able to look back on them and say “Look how far I’ve come since then.” I hope.

/ January 28, 2011I created the sky by laying in 3 shades of blues and grays, as well as white in the direction I wanted the sky to flow, then blended, but being careful not to over blend.
Thank you, Tracie!

/ February 3, 2011It’s a great way to shift the winter blues by drawing pictures from the summer, I know, I do it all the time! and it works. Great Debbie, keep them coming.

/ February 3, 2011I know what your saying, Keith. I get to feeling a bit blue from the winter and start dreaming of the up coming summer to make it all go way. Drawing about it keeps the summer mind set.
